Hi all,

I run a lightweight alternator setup on my 205 track car and I am thinking of bringing a setup available to purchase as a package/conversion

I have a handfull of these small alternators available which are working and used, once this suppy runs out I can supply new Denso alternators no problem.

The kit would compromise of

Denso alternator with an alloy billet pulley
Rose joint adjuster with barrell adjuster system.
Fitting kit including any spacers, brackets and hardware
Drive belt.

choice of ordering PAS or non PAS kit.

An profesional kit to fit 306 Gti-6/Rallye with No A/C or 205 Gti-6 to save upto 5kg from your heavy standard setup.

Combining the lightweight alternator setup with loosing the original engine mount maybe an option too.

Thoughts and feedback?!

Mine from memory is 40 amp. However I can offer a 60 amp version.

I run a race battery on mine and on wet days had lights and wipers going and always charged well

This is the alternator, Denso are fitted on a massive amount of small commercial diesel engines. They come standard with a 17mm shaft which is peugeot size. A billet pulley will be fitted in favour to run a multi V belt

I'm probably not going to do much with the used alternators I've got spare. I'd rather supply new and there's no problem then.

I need to confirm what I can purchase new alternators from my supplier.
I've worked out pricing for the M8 rose joints and turn buckle for adjustment, I know pricing for a replacement multi V belt and I know how much a billet alloy pulley is going to cost me.

I need to dry build a kit first which I'll do over the next few days on a GTI6 engine to make sure there's no hidden items I'm going to require. Most likely plan is to utilise the original A/C mounts then if different engine mounts are used it doesn't become a problem.

I think it will be in the region of £200 delivered, but I will confirm.

Most of that is the cost of a new alternator!

I'd be up for that but not for a while, I'll keep an eye on this thread but but put me down for a kit. I take it it's compatible with relocated PAS pump kits with no issues?

I will need to work out all different combinations!

The first couple of kits will just be to replace a non pas Rallye setup.
