So its a year on and the ball is finally rolling. Getting the car picked up in a couple of hours and taken to Armzs16's garage in Crowborough to be put back together with a whole bunch of new parts. Now that all the sound deadening is removed from the bulkhead and heater matrix replaced, the dash is now back where it should be. The inlet has been put back on the car with all new gaskets. Lubed up the bores with WD40 and turned it over without the plugs in just to get it all moving.   The plugs look a bit s**tty so replaced them. Once all was back together, she fired up first time and sounded sweet. Although, after 5 mins, she aquired a knocking noise. Dash is now fully installed and looking sweet. Swapped my electric windows for some winders. Not so much for weight saving but more for the retro style that i want. Little update.Had a cambelt/water pump change at the weekend so one less thing to worry about. Upon draining the coolant system, it seems the rad is blocked in the expansion bottle. Even a compressed air line was stuggling to push the water out the bottom hose so we have a brand new nissens rad hopefully turning up today. We hope this will resolve the knocking noise from the head (we think it could be a result of coolant starvation to the lifters). So we still have this knocking noise. Strange because it sounds fine until it warms up.Made a couple more purchases...   Very excited about these.
