I ran these with standard pistons with the piston valve cut out machined a bit for clearance. With a standard L+B bottom end, a good ported and polished head and jenveys they made 219 bhp |

Well Brett sims motorsport built it and it was running brilliant for 3 years until i upgraded my engine and it was definitely on standard pistons with valve cut out enlarged. I would say forged pistons would be better but that's up to the builder |

No good if i need Pocketed pistons. Dont plan to spend fortunes on the engine at the minute. Don't think I'm having a crack at you, I just am very aware how little clearance there is in these engines for cams with a bigger lift than standard even with a pocketed piston! Out of curiosity how much deeper was the piston pocket machined? Mine have had 1mm taken out which I am led to believe is the maximum safely permitted, even then it's damn close with PT81's, I'm sure if Brett built it, they were timed correctly so I'll now shut up lol! ________________________________________ Team Running Engine again!Team Negative Camber! Unless you specify less we pocket 6 pistons by a further 1mm on both inlet and outlet.
