I'm buying a lynx kit that was fitted to a phase 1 gti6, but my engine and loom is from a phase 2 (possibly phase 3).

Does anyone know if fitting the lynx mapped ECU from the phase 1 to my phase 2/3 loom/engine be compatible?

Many thanks
Graham

Yep, it'll work fine. Yes

The only think you'll need to watch out for is whether it's locked. If it was soft unlocked when it was removed from the Phase 1 then it'll work straight away on yours.

No worries, when you connect it to yours, it will become locked to your car then and work normally.

The connectors on the loom are different, but the ECU's are the same, so they can be swapped around no problem Smile

ok great, so it looks like it should be a straight forward swap bar the powersteering sensor.

Can anyone expand on this part?

Thanks

Are you using a 306 power steering pipe in your 205? If not then you needn't worry.

If your PAS sensor plug on the loom differs to the sensor in your pipe, change the sensor over to the matching shape be in square or rounded. It just unscrews from the pipe.
