Hello guys trying to find the leaks in my carThumbs down
I have tried the drain holes in the scuttle panel both of these are clear.
the aircon pipe bung has a hole for an power cable so needs siliconing, I have silicones and sealed the aerial base.
is there anywhere else I'm missing as I'm beginning to feel like setting fire to it LOL
water is gathering in both footwells and has got that bad recently that the battery symbol was lit in the dashboard even with keys removed and ran my batterry right down so I'm a bit miffed having to disconnect the batterry every time i park upNo
thanks in advance of any help guys Thumbs up

Mine was leaking and turned out to be leaking down the inside of the door and coming out of the door card into the car. Is there still that plastic sheet inside the door?

The plastic membrane is rather important, but it is more for wind noise than water protection as the membrane isn't waterproof.

I'm still voting door seals, these are a very common fault.

Depends on your definition of 'waterproof'. The membrane stops water that runs through the door soaking into the door card and leaking into the interior. If damaged or missing due to ham fisted stereo installations or other bodged repair the car will leak. Guaranteed.

Well I have now sealed the aircon pipe bung that had a 2 inch hole in it. I await the interior drying out do that I can see where else I need to seal up. So the membrane just stops water shopping on the door cards and soaking through then onto the floor. Maybe I'll just take the door cards off for a while and see if the problem is no longer there. Cheers got the help. Is there any more bungs from engine bay to interior that I may have to seal up? Thanks for the advice though

Check the drains in the bottom of the door are unblocked and also as others have said, make sure the door membranes are sealed up. Im having the same problem at the moment and have a roll of that door membrane material on order.

I sorted the water leak problem on my rallye by removing all the door seals and then refitting them after squeezing the channel to make them a good tight fit ! Use a small hammer to reattach them to the car

Door seals might be the culprit however if it's effecting the dials and fuse panel I would guess that its the sunroof leaking, the water running down the roof lining, down the a pillar and behind the dash, maybe pop the a pillar trim off and put some tissue in the gap to see if water is getting in that way

My leak was from windscreen seal right in the top passengers side corner! It gathered and run out the center top light fitting.

Once the roof lining was removed it was evident where it was dripping from when it rained.

no longer leaking up high it's now down low. I soaked 5 towels out of the footwells and have got a heater in it overnight to dry out. I'll keep you guys posted, I can see that the membranes on the door could well be an issue too! I've not owned a sunroof car before but when investigated didn't seam to be any leaks once I'd completed the Ariel seal replacement. Thumbs up

If it's low down it will be the front door seals. Yes

That's the only other major common issue which is low down as opposed to the normal issues involving the sunroof or aerial base.

It's pretty much of general nature to be honest, at least until we find the cause anyway. LOL
