Hi guys.

Anyone one had any experience of the above please.

Had phone call asking if I would be interested in a deal for the CTR.

Love the audis, and one day will have an rs4, but are the 3.0 v.6 n/a any good.

Cheers

Unmarked interior, and 124k miles

I had a b6 a4 sport estate all be it a fwd TDI. Was good and very reliable, service parts etc are very cheap too even for genuine stuff.
Can't see a v6 saloon being worth a great deal though to be honest, no one wants a big petrol car anymore. Are you planning on keeping it? If the mpg doesn't bother you it'll be a cracking car.

The engines sound great and go reasonably well for the weight of the car, with the a6 I always felt it'd suit an auto box better as it's a reasonably lazy power delivery. They get a move on though and the Quattro is great, mega fun in the snow!Thumbs up

Yippeekayays got one recently but A4 avant. Glued to the road goes like a train from 50 to 100mph and really planted. Asked him its getting 28 to 35mpg from it but you have to regularly use super unleaded as they are grumpy on normal unleaded. His is an 2005 model. Good for 250k allegedly and he now wants a turbo or rs4...

Yes it is a sport Smile

Sadly no service history. Next service due in 5k miles.

Any idea on cost of belt change?

Not a bad job to do yourself, the engines north/south so once the bumpers off and the radiator is pulled forward everything's easy to get at.
Maybe something to watch out for is clutch judder, I believe decent dual mass flywheel/clutches are quite expensive

And yippeekay says the bose is great... though the sat nav stereos are problematic as they are prone for drink spillages from the fantastically located cup holder. .. jord the 205 tt is now for sale and running well as he's bought a mk2 escort money pit gp4 rally car.

The only way I could afford the turbo technics is if the civic sells outright

As above, plus tax band K does not help,£270 a year.

And you won't keep it as the fuel economy will not match the performanceNo Audi combined figures say 26mpg,these figures are allways optimistic in real life conditions so 20mpg combined will be nearer the mark imoYes

And it won't be as quick or as much fun to drive as your CTRThumbs up

To be honest Jord I wouldn't touch it. It's probably a lovely looking car and probably nice to drive but on a car with a huge engine coupled to a Quattro drivetrain a full service history would have to be essential. Even then I would think twice as in my opinion big thirsty engined cars have no place on our roads any more, great for an Autobahn but not here.

Must have a very light foot then. I'd say I drove mine pretty normally and used to get 30 mpg week in, week out for the 13 months I had it.

Almost managed 34mpg on a 300 mile motorway trip once mind

I use super-unleaded and don't hang about. Regular service intervals too.

Best I've had was a trip to oxford, and had 38mpg

Same with mine, serviced every 6k since new and always ran on s/u. Was a low mileage car too and i did about 30 miles a day in it so not exactly little trips and I didnt have A/C.

So far my DC5 seems to be about the same.

34mpg is a very good average for a K20.
