Unfortunately am going to have to put my Rallye up for sale that I recently got from jonnie205 with the head gasket gone:

Copied from the original limited advert!
112000 miles, lovely straight genuine car, all standard, full service history 112000 miles, good interior, 2 sets of keys, roller bearing wishbones, recent new clutch and cable.
The car requires a new head gasket,

To be honest thats about as much as I know about as all I have done is took it off the trailer and put it in my garage, bodywork extremely good, slightly faded but is to be expected!

Slight lacquer peel on drivers side wing but other than that very good order, very good condition interior and does run (enough to drive on a trailer)

Exhaust is currently blowing as was removed to get on the flatbed and got re fitted in a hurry whilst scrabbling underneath !

The few pictures that I have:

She is way too good to break and I'm hoping someone can give it the time it deserves!

Cheers
Martin

I couldn't work out what was going on for a second with the two facing each other. That may be me being an idiot though

If the paint work definitely could be pulled round with just a mop I would seriously consider it, I wouldn't want to buy it only to find that it needed paint. My diablo is having spray work as we speak

The paint is lacquered so polishing it won't sort the fading. They will all be faded to some extent as red is notorious for it and 14 years has passed after all. Some are much worse than others though, best to go and look at it. Mine polishes up really well, looks good and shiny and the paint except for the bonnet is all original. This one looks pretty good too.

More than welcome to come and view and decide for yourself, not really sure what the outcome would be as am not experienced with mopping. Certainly don't think its past saving it by a long stretch!

We used T-Cut on a T plate Astra which bought it back up a treat. Took all day though.

I think you could improve it if you wanted. TBH, it's a cheap Rallye, buy it, fix it, thrash it, enjoy
