You can't really not set it up right, the way I do it is to pivot the selector arm fully over to 1st and 2nd and then adjust the rod to suit, as long as when you take it out of 1st or 2nd it returns to the middle and you can select 3rd and 4th you will also be able to get 5th and 6th as its equal distance between the gears. Probably doesn't make sense but I know what I'm on about!

The only other adjustments you can make is the postion of the lever left/right fwd/aft

Just strange you can't get 4th now! I take it you have tried driving it as its hard to get the lever into 3rd and 4th whilst sitting still with out the engine running as the straight cuts need to be aligned

If the box still works it won't be the box, or at worse it will be selector forks in the box but I've never known them to break before. Sounds like something to do with the satchshift and linkages, hope so as it should be a relatively easy fix!

Glad the Quaife gearkits are strong enough, I didn't think they would be but if they are used in that 205 they must be!

From speaking to Ross I would rule out the satchshift, he said that it's chucked loads of oil out of the box and the rolling road spiked when what ever happened happened!

Doesn't sound promising! Where did the oil come from? Has it smashed a hole in the casing?

No no holes in casing that I could see box is coming out over the weekend and a standard one put in place just so I can drive about. I've been in contact with a few companies about straight cut internals and a sequential, I just feel that either I've been ridiculously unlucky or my car just hates me Sad

Its probably cheaper to buy a 2 post ramp for your garage and stock pile a load of standard boxes mate.

New box every other week Smile

It's cheaper but not the solution I want mate. It's frustrating as hell I wouldn't of minded if I'd have shattered a gear but it seems it's destroyed my gearbox and the lsd! Slightly upset is an understatement.

Great thread. Sorry to read about the Box - but look forward to seeing you getting it back on the road. Amazing car. All the best.

Been busy fitting the wide arch kit, have a wide track rear beam coming from Bridgecraft engineering. And at the front have a proper maxi set of uprights and wishbones, just trying to get hold of the right calipers and rotors Smile. Gearbox wise still unsure of what to do.

Chris it's a lot of work that's why k put it off but with winter here I thought did it why not. Going to tub the front arches like the Maxis had. I have a plan for the gearbox but don't want to do the job twice. Have a mind to have a full custom 6 speed dogbox built. Smile

Looks very cool! What are you going to do with the boot; fit the one with the spoiler? What are you going to do with the spare one (I'd like first dibs!)?
