Will a 306 6 point OMP bolt in roll cage, in 2 sections fit in my 6?

(And I mean for transportation, ie: led across the folded rear seats and boot)

Need to get this down to Winchester urgent, and don't want to book a work van after hours if I don't have to.

Cheers, pebbles. Thumbs up

Yeah I'd say so.

I got a 205 one in the HDi with the rear seats down. There was a knack to it though as certain ways it wouldn't go in for the boot to shut due to a leg sticking up.

it's practically a rally car anyway the HDI, i bet the cage really spiced it up. all that torque steer but knowing you're safe with the cage

A good chance it would seem.

On Thursday I learned the hard way that it doesn't fit in a 106 gti. No

    Thumbs up

Doubt it will fit. Unless you take out a front door, front seats and dash to fit it in properly- especially if it is the type where the rear stays bolt to the floor and front half goes behind dash. Unsure ... which would be a lot of hassle just for transportation.

Nah - the OMP's aren't quite that much of a pain to fit.

Look at how I've done it. I had the same issue but luckily I'm obviously more methodical and wiser than you.

It's upside down. Replicate my technique. For a start you've left the seat bases in - compleltely remove them and store elsewhere temporarily. The cage needs to slide down in the rear footwells to clear the rear window.

You've completely ignored my advice. For this reason I've made a note and won't help you again.

I would be nonchalant and shrug off your annoying (but true) reply... But I fear I may need your help more than you know Sad

So I'm sorry, next time ill be sure to look more closely, I was short on time and looking at a smashed phone screen in my mediocre attempt at defence.

    Please don't withhold your help.

You apologised and used a word I've not heard before, so I will forgive and forget. I can only assume you spelt another word wrong, as I've heard most words before.

Do you care about scratched trim? That could be half your problem. Just ram it in. You often find when you don't give a s**t things just don't get marked. Yet and pussy foot around with it and you'll scuff it all.

    Im assuming you mean nonchalant?

In my vague definition I'd say not caring either way to a presented question, statement, situation etc. ie:

Person 1: Your car is p**sing oil and blowing smoke everywhere!
Person 2: Oh right... Is that supposed to be bad is it.

Landlord: Your rent is overdue. I've thrown your stuff on the lawn and changed the locks.
Tenant: Meh... Flats are for suckers, that hedge looks comfy.

My ex wife: You're only ever happy when you're talking about your car
    Me: Fair one.. zzzZZZZZZZzzZZZZ

Ill be going to combe soon, I wont be tracking this though, Ill find something else. This is BigBadBowen's 51k Phase 1. Picked it up earlier in the week, so not had much time to post. Its very nice Yes

There is a strong possibility of my next track car being a leon cupra, Ill let you know when, so you can get a front row view of the crash Thumbs up

See post #12 for my attempt.

I got it in in the same way a child jams a square block into the triangular hole and gets it stuck half way.

I suppose if you're an optimistic sort of person.. then yes, I got it in.

Thanks to my scratched screen I read that as "borrowed my mates shotgun", I was unsure how that was supposed to have helped but I like it.
