lol that was Daves twin turbo DT. They f**ked that dyno run up big time (as i heard they did with a lot of people!) That was easily more than 136 though. It would destroy any standard 6 with ease! |

I'll get pics of said Xsara up along with some track pics of forum members cars after work tomorrow.Glad to be of service and I was pleased with the turnout of members. So thank you to those of you who came along and made all my effort and worrying worth while Nice to meet you chaps hope to meet you and others again I won't comment on previous years as this was my 1st time (mainly because it was on my door step, so to speak) but I thoroughly enjoyed it and I may well do the same again next year however in hindsight I shall get a thread going at least a month sooner as it was all very last minute.. ________________________________________ I Live for the 306TEAM CHERRY PINK RALLYE 2008 BMW ///M 320d |

Look to be learning the track well for a second session. You filming from a GoPro? ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

Thanks for positive comments! The circuit itself: I was not expecting it to be such a high speed lap (not dropping below 3rd gear and getting well in to 5th before Avon Rise). So extra power would be a real benefit for a good lap time. The surface is very bumpy (the bumpiest from all the circuits that I've been to) but does have a lot of grip. It felt like it was necessary to wrestle the car to keep in line - was going to tweak the dampers later in the day. Yes, filming with GoPro, hence a bit poor sound quality. ________________________________________ Cherry Red Rallye Project threadWhiteBMW M140i |

Yeah I've been a regular at Combe for about 7 years now and my cars fairly well setup for that circuit. I can lap in 1.19 and pull near 130 before braking over Avon rise. The key to braking there is to hang out wide (infield side) turn slightly left and brake in a straight line heading straight towards the traffic light. Which is almost heading slightly the wrong direction into Quarry but it's a real late apex and turn in point. ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

Was there with Pug.net and had a cracking time. We camped off site on Saturday night in the pouring rain which wasn't so much fun but still made the most of it. The show was completely dead on Sunday, did get a parade lap though Had a wander down to your stand in the afternoon, some gorgeous cars there ________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

I particularly noticed this as I was sat directly behind the traffic light watching people. The ones who swung left at the cone really did pull around tight and smooth. It's always interesting to sit and watch how people take it differently. ________________________________________ |

It was my first time at combe.after a few laps I was getting flat through the bend after the pit straight.also quite like quarry but tolding it over the bump and around the short left was pretty scary. Also towards the end was getting a better line though the esses.had some fun with a 197 and megane aswell Awsomely scary but epic track just shame I cooked itself at the end ________________________________________ Rallye build: 11 November 1998 - a WednesdayTeam rallye, built for track ----Click this if you like rallyes Rallye dead Secret Team Astor... |
