the engine is great, ford definatly exceeded Peugeot in finishing it off.It's not a pug engine it was a joint ford/Peugeot venture from what I'm told. Fords version is set up much much better than the pug version. The body is solid, even the paint and stonechip protection under it has been applied really good.I'll get some pics when I get under It to prove it but i would say the chassis and rust protection on the chassis and floor has been done to an excellent level. I've seen a few with rusty doors but that's due to the rain and water running down the insides, there's drain holes inside the door just below the interior door panel so it must have been designed to do this. Mine has a bit of rust in places where the paint has been chipped off, like the wing near where the sideskirt ends. Sounds like a severe infestation of metal maggots. They always prefer to eat Ford metals. Look in the cavaties and you will see where they have set in. Oil seems to stop them spreading  |
