Had to cut the old brake pipes off the spare rear beam as the union nuts were rounding on the calipers so decided it was easier just to cut them off.

However now I need to get new pipes! Thought about flexis but bit skint at the moment so thinking I can either make my own or by new pipes from Pug?

How difficult is it to make my own pipes and what would I need? Smile

Easy, I've never done one before and have just redone the whole car and removed abs. And it doesn't leak so.....

You will need a flaring tool, a pipe cutter but a decent junior hacksaw will do, just make sure you debur the ends before you flare it.

And obviously brake line and male and female brake fittings.

Also a bit of time and patience is good also.

Do you need the pipes between calipers and flexy hoses? If so I have a set here.

Dead easy to make your own out of copper, if you use copper nickel you'll need some pretty decent kit to flare it with.

My local motorfactors will make up copper lines for next to nothing, might be worth considering if you don't want to spend a bit on the tools to do the job and buy a reel of copper.

Cheers guys, will look in to it. End plan is to replace all the lines but might just be easier to get some new ones made from the motorfactors if possible to save me the cost on tools at the moment.

Kunifer is a better bet than copper so long as you have a decent tool, much nicer for routing too.
