Since im used to cars with very nice/fresh paintjobs, the 306 was painted in 2009, and is still in very great condition with only a few spots.

Since a friend of my owns a paintshop, he offered me to do the 306 for very good money.

Since i Always loved nice fresh blue metallic cars, im contemplating on having the beast painted Lexus Ultrasonic Blue Pearl, that in conjunction with black wheels, some carbonfiber, would look really hot i think

heres the Lexus color

It's your car etc and the colour is OK but it is not the one I'd pick for such an awesome kick-@r$e car like yours. To me that blue really does look a bit dull like a sales rep saloon or something. 95% of cars on the roads here in the UK are black, silver, grey or some unadventurous dull metallic shade with everyone trying to blend in. If it were me (which it's not, but you asked for opinions) I'd go something a bit more adventurous for such a kick-@r$e car, that brighter Ford blue, or a brighter non-metallic colour that shows the lines off really well like the 1990s Audi RS2 blue, or a Porsche yellow or green. Or I'd stick with the black slightly menacing look you've got already, and I like the carbon bonnet that almost blends in to the black but when you look at it closely it is just a bit different.

I wouldn't refuse to buy a car in that colour, it is fine but I certainly wouldn't spend a wedge of money changing it from black to that colour.

Just my 2 pennies.

Bmw Estoril blue is about 15 times better.
IMO.

Your car suits being all black.
Bit of a stealth fighter look

Some seriously gorgeous wrapping materials out there these days. Worth getting a swatch from APA, Avery and 3M. Just superb and at least might give you some ideas on the paint.

I quite like that colour though. There is a lush blue metallic used on Range Rovers, will look for it.

Don't ruin a lovely car by making it blue! Black or Astor are the best colours for a 306 IMO

I agree.
But a very nice mettalic blue is the new one from ford that replaces the performance blue that the mondeo st's are painted in which is also very nice when looked after (unlike mine :-( )

I kinda like that Lexus blue. I'm not sure how to explain what I mean, but it's almost like it has a kind of a matte grey/graphite under-shine, if that makes sense? I think it would work well. Not that I'm biased, but I think these cars look their best in Cherry red from the factory so I'd probably look at something similar, maybe a little deeper if I were getting a respray. It's your car though! Thumbs up

The RS2 blue is really awsome. I would say something which stands out from the crowd would look very nice on your car! That's why I love yellow cars.

In terms of blue, I really like this factory non-metallic blue (don't know the name for it sorry) on a Clio 182 Cup:

See I think that blue is a bit s**t?
I.e, Its the car that looks good rather than the paint.
I honestly think that as a blue paint, China is way better than that, As is Estoril Blue.

Yes it definitely would, I think it would suit the 306's curved flanks really well. If you are going to repaint the car it needs to totally pop like Polestar Blue, Audi Nogaro Blue (RS2) etc.

In terms of metallics, the Renault blue metallic colour is a definite improvement over the Lexus, but is still a bit dull if you are going to the effort of painting the entire car door shuts, bonnet underside, engine bay etc. Unless you are going balls out I'd really just leave it. Or if you really really want a metallic blue car you could do a lot worse than buying a China Blue car and changing all your bits over. Be much cheaper and would look just as good.

I'd be torn between the Lexus one and the Clio (v6), those types of blue are my favourite colour. The RS blue has been done before on a 306 and looked good.

As Iain says Imperial (RS) Blue has been done and TBH it didnt look that great IMOeven though I used to like the idea of it myself.

Whatever the colour choice, there needs to be a contrast like the R26R Megane or Porsche 997(?) GT3RS Grey/red etc looks awesome! Solid colours FTW!...

One car I forgot to list in my "Dream Garage" Doh
