Does it represent something, all I can work out is possibly tiger?

Plates are a funny game as they can mean so much to one person but nothing to another, its a chance game that's a plate someone has been looking for and they have some decent money to have it.

LOL private number plates are for idiots that love themselves too much, would rather spend it on the car than some superficial pile of crap.

why have a plate with a load of random letters and numbers when you can have your name or similar. I love my Mayhew number plate. Based on value i Dont think that tiger plate if thats what it is is worth much. Maybe £150. I don't think J4MES is worth £50k but someone Will or has brought it around that value.

TBH 99% of people would not realise your plate was private! As its not a common surname and it just looks like a normal plateYes

couple people said it looked like Matthew when passing. Not sure on that one as it has a y in the middle. A plate to me is for the owner. Unless its a really good one or funny one then more for 'look at me' people

You'd be surprised what people use to make something slightly represent something else. Y for a T is perfectly plausible and you can see why they thought that.

It's almost as if it HAS to mean Matthew to someone who knows no better as the mind isn't going to think ah it's perhaps Mary or Martin. Mayhew isn't a common name which doesn't help the confusion.

I sold a few plates to the owner of a Greek restaurant, who then smashed them all, which was a bit of a waste
