I'm about to cavity wax inside my sills. At the rear there seems to be some sound deadening in there. I'm not sure how much there is - is it necessary to remove the sound deadening to get good coverage with the wax on the inside of the sill? Or can I just shoot it in there with the 60cm lance and hope for the best. Do I need to remove the rear interior side panels and remove the sound deadening while I wax it?

Anyone done this? Any tips appreciated.

Just take it out, it'll only soak into the sound deadening anyway, and you might spray a load on the interior panel - get it in the wrong place and it'll soak through.

Well there is certainly some sound deadening in there, when I was grinding out the rust on mine, I nearly set the car on fire after the sparks hit it!
