Hi fellas,

Just bought a mates Rallye in black which had been sitting for about a year or so now, and having sold my old Celica GT4 WRC (soCool, I thought it would be a great car to get back on the road.

Not many pics as yet but here she sits right now:

Pretty much a stocker but with electric windows and AC (sort of). 83k on the clock and as far as I can tell so far, runs great.

This was my previous car, which I owned for 5 years (another one for 4.5 years before that):

I rebuilt it from scratch as the engine had suffered ringland failure, and most other parts were worth doing while I had the engine out. Great fun but 9 years of the same car was time enough, though of course you'll always miss 300bhp with 4WD.

Lump back in and rolling in NI, where I was a Celica Club Ireland moderator and active member of 3 other GT4 and Celica clubs:

Looking forward to getting to know the club and the car more Thumbs up

Hello! Factory fit windows and A/C, the buyer must have really wanted those cloth seats and stickers! .... Which are missing?

Don't all 306's come with windows as standard?

It's just a GTi6 isn't it? I'm sure I can see headrests in the rear aswell?

Welcome to the Club! Always liked the ST205 Celica's.... have been tempted to buy one a few times as they are reasonably priced and they were a part of a great era in Rallying with the Delta, Evo I/II and Legacy/ Impreza's. I think they look awesome in white.

A mate in work had the ST185 Carlos Sainz edition in grey... lovely car with the wide body but rear arches rusted badly. Can't be many around now!

They were factory options on the rallye, standard equipment on the 6. can't imagine many would have ticked it.

Welcome to the club dude, nice Celica btw Thumbs up

Thanks guys, must have been factory options indeed then. The logbook and original service papers all say Rallye, and it does indeed have rear headrests and cloth seats. For some reason I thought the windows and AC must have been retrofitted.

So far I'm glad I bought one of these and not the RX8's I was looking at. Had enough fun with blown engines Wink

These cars are exceptional mate, some quality vids of these things storming around tracks on YouTube.

Not as straightline quick as some but the speed they carry through cornets and the handling is spot on.

You won't be disappointed Smile

Welcome Smile

Been flirting with the idea of buying carious Celicas over the years. Always been put off by the lowish power versus fuel use ratio. Been offered a non-rusty wide ST185 in grey for £300 but i'm still not feeling it. Have too many cars tbh!

Its easy enough to get rid of all that stuff if you want to - tbh you'd only lose 20kg max so I wouldn't bother Wink

Thanks fellas, yeah I'm in redland area of Bristol. I was based in NI for two years with my current company & moved over in November. Expensive area to insure!

Re' old GT4's - they're a fairly big commitment in terms of maintenance being of that age & performance bracket, highly advisable to have a second car unless your wallet is a deep one Smile awesome fun to work on if you've got a quality tool set though & several people run forged engines around the 600+bhp mark. 300bhp was beyond my driving capabilities though.

Thanks for the friendly welcome guys, looking forward to future events.

Ah this one was parked up in Essex area for the last year and a half, NI before, and Kidlington before that. I am now right near Whiteladies, though.

Not too far away, I'm up in Redland, Blenheim road to be exact. Though I swear I saw a black GTi6 parked that way recently.
