He can be a bit like that, but always comes good in the end if that's any consolation. I only have his AOL address, and I assume that's the one you have?

Just mention the phrase "brake lines" on this thread and through some black magic his spidey sense will feel it and he'll tag on a reply within seconds Yes

Tbh mine look great.
They are Exact ones.

Its just that they are abit too long.
Long enough that I would prefer ones of the correct length tbh...

To be fair.
I had custom ones made up for the 807 brembos which look great, but lets be honest who knows if they are the right length.
As for the rears.
I explained I had no compensator as its a phase 3.
I had two hoses of varying length,
Both too long.
I'm sure he can put it right when we get in contact, as in fairness they are very good quality.
Hes supplied me bolts etc before too and they were all perfect
All said I would buy from him again as the price was low and the product was good.
Anyway i'll get in touch with him. As I suppose hes not signing up here.

ooo tell me more i was going to order some myself but now Whistle

Bought some of the braided "fuel lines" from him a while ago, as I fancied something a bit different in the engine bay. Yes

When I went to fit them, the ends didn't tighten up correctly, they felt very insecure on the fuel rail and were (a bit like the brake lines) far in excess of the length they needed to be, it looked very untidy due to the ridiculous length they were. Also, when looking inside the pipes, the pipes themselves were *extremely* thin walled and I wasn't prepared to put 5 bar of fuel pressure through them. No

I got in contact, explained the problems, and got told to do one basically. When I questioned the length I was told to cut them down to make them look tidier. As we all know, you need a special tool to "cut them down" as when you start to cut braid, it all starts to unravel itself.

I had paid £70 for two fuel lines which were quite frankly shocking in construction and didn't do what they said on his advert.
As I paid via Paypal I opened a dispute, which went on a fair while until in the end Paypal took his side.

Until he at *least* refunds me half of what I paid I shall continue to explain to people the issues you get when you deal with this guy. Yes

And that was just my experience. I won't go on to tell you about the poor member from here who managed to get these same lines to fit only to leak and cause an engine bay fire in his car. Sad Angry

My advice, stay clear at ALL costs and buy reputable items from people like Goodridge etc. Thumbs up

Still know whos, I may bump into him one day at a car show somewhere, and we can chat about it then...Yes Whistle

Laugh my ass off

It's not a case of that, it's more a case of "if you're going to sell parts here then please make sure they are suitable and that customers are happy that it's a worthy product".

After all, part of being an Admin is to look out for the club and it's members as well as we can do. If people are selling sub-standard parts and it's causing other enthusiasts grief then we need to stomp it out. If somebody is selling upgrade parts which buyers are more then happy with then I commend them, it's as simple as that.

It may well be that his brake lines are perfectly fine in construction and completely ready for use. I just know the quality I received for the fuel lines was definitely sub-standard and therefore will warn people about to buy something which could turn out nasty for them.
Leaky fuel lines or failed brake hoses will not be a nice experience for anybody. As I say, the brake lines could be spot on, but judging by Eliotrw's remarks that they are also miles too long suggests to me that they're not correct for the application for which he has been sold them, and therefore, naturally I'm concerned about it. Wink

I have some exact ones front and back I got from Swampy, nothing to imply they're anything but professional products. Absolutely stamped on the pedal testing my new lines once I removed the ABS, no problems at all.

Don't ever really have to brake in my car, but when you do it's hard and from speed, and never once have I had so much as a drip from the lines.

Well KAMRacing sell the Exact lines aswell. I've got a set of them on calipers I bought and they seem to be upto the job, only time will tell how long they last but I'm sure they'll be fine!

Indeed.
I can believe it too.
As i say, very happy with the quality, just want them the right length really.

i had numerous brake lines off him and had no problems. i did have the fuel lines but as stan said i felt they were a bit thin and replaced them after a bit with standard ones, but they held fuel and had no problems with them otherwise
