Basically the pipe from the back of the cat to the middle box which is bloody ear bleeding! Bought a decat pipe for cheapness but I think it's of a 1.8 looking at it, will it still fit my gti6?

No it won't, the downpipe and cat are integrated and the 1.8 downpipe is longer as the exhaust manifold is shorter, plus the diameters are difference. You don't gain anything noticeable if anything at all, but there is a very noticeable loss in mid range. It's well posted that decats create a raspier sound and some popping on the overrun although personally I didn't notice the popping on my car, mind you the rest of the exhaust was/is completely standard. I didn't really buy it for performance issues just for the fact it was cheap and needed something to replace my Brocken cat, anyway pleased to announce its fited with a few minor modiforcations |

I generally didn't notice much difference  I fitted a decat pipe as I needed to weld my cat, centrepiece and powerflow box together and didn't want to ruin my perfectly good cat. I only do a mile or two in my car each day anyway, thought the possible loss of torque wouldn't bother me as the only time its properly driven hard is on track. ________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

Definatly not got as mod range torque Iv noticed that straight away, only problem Iv come accros is it's Runing very close to the cross member so it's hitting, thought I might put some heat wrap to solve this? |

I found that my exaust isn't that loud compared to some Iv had lol might be because I'm used to just a straight pipe from the manifold for the last couple of weeks lol yeah I should have bought the right decat but didn't realise until yesterday lol |

Yeah was unberibly loud! Setting people's car alarms and making me look like a chav isn't a good image! The worst bit about it was my 2ps in the pot used to rattle and got on my nerves |
