Basically the pipe from the back of the cat to the middle box which is bloody ear bleeding! Bought a decat pipe for cheapness but I think it's of a 1.8 looking at it, will it still fit my gti6? |

The pipe from the back of CAT to the middle box IS part of the CAT. As Gnrlee says, we need a pic to determine what you are talking about exactly. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

No it won't, the downpipe and cat are integrated and the 1.8 downpipe is longer as the exhaust manifold is shorter, plus the diameters are difference. My personal advice regarding decats is just don't get one, stick with a standard cat and enjoy the mid-range torque you won't be losing. ________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |

Nah, you don't lose much mid range, don't gain much top end grunt either as far as I can tell. Just a load of noise. ________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

You don't gain anything noticeable if anything at all, but there is a very noticeable loss in mid range. It's well posted that decats create a raspier sound and some popping on the overrun although personally I didn't notice the popping on my car, mind you the rest of the exhaust was/is completely standard. I definitely like having a quiet exhaust and leave the noise to the intake when I want it. ________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |

Decats do allow better revving at the top end, however as Guy says you DO lose midrange torque quite a lot with them. When you're boosted, it's not as much of an issue. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

I generally didn't notice much difference I fitted a decat pipe as I needed to weld my cat, centrepiece and powerflow box together and didn't want to ruin my perfectly good cat. I only do a mile or two in my car each day anyway, thought the possible loss of torque wouldn't bother me as the only time its properly driven hard is on track. ________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

Ideally, you should have purchased the correct decat for the car. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Just bash it about with a hammer, it will fit at some point through trial and error. ________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

I found that my exaust isn't that loud compared to some Iv had lol might be because I'm used to just a straight pipe from the manifold for the last couple of weeks lol yeah I should have bought the right decat but didn't realise until yesterday lol |

My mate did this with his B18C converted EK4 civic, and combe sound testers described his 130Db as disgustingly loud. Would yours fall into this category Stan? ________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

131dB to be precise. I have to put the Magnex centre section back in when I go on any track, it's still loud but drops the figure down to 98dB. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
