And, I f**king love e30s. I couldn't do with a left hooker, though, so an M3 is out if the question. I think tidy ones go for about 20k+ still. Bargain. ________________________________________ For we are many.PS£ ID: Monkey369 |

the thing with the e30 m3 is the left hooker like you say. However, my favourite project thread has one converted to rwd with a v10 M5 engine mated to a E92 M3 manual box. Now THAT, would be epic ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

looking at the figures you're quite right, though I doubt it'd be quite as noticeable as using a straight 6 as it's not so far over the front axle.S14 weight is 106 kg or thereabouts, S62 V8 is 202 kg and the S85 circa 224 kg, and that's not taking into account the additional weight in the transmission. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Hmmm,This is why I thought that : "The resulting engine weighs 202 kg (445 lb ): 15 kg (33 lb ) lighter than the straight-6 engine it replaces, while also being shorter" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_S65 ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

That explains the all alloy straight sixes they gave these days with silicone coatings and no liners, the old ones were fat bas**rds! ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

In a recent Retro Cars there was an orange 1970s BMW 2002 with a Honda S2000 engine and 6-speed in it. Looked great and apparently the S2000 engine has similar characteristics to the E30 S14 engine (apparently the ultimate BMW 2002tii upgrade), but revs to almost 9000 rpm, is more durable and has 237bhp as standard, though is not the most torquey of engines. E46 M3 FTW - though they are loved by tea leaves with commensurate insurance costs. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |
