As a few of you may know (thanks again for the initiation windups) I took a journey to not so sunny Lewisham on Saturday for a viewing of a Bianca gti6. Waking up bright and breezy my other half and I began the journey & once we finally found the destination (iphone navigation fail) I was not disappointed.
Having owned a Rallye and a 6 previously I know that over the years they do pick up a fair few marks and faults but surprisingly there wasnt too much I could fault with the car... even all the electrics and aircon works Thumbs up
A deposit was paid and off she went for an mot (I insisted on it of course) and an hour later I got the call... Passed with just one advisory to tighten/replace the handbrake cable!
So now im the owner of my 3rd 306 and I cant wait to start fiddling Smile

Here she is...

now the eagle eyed of the group may have noticed this :

I have no idea what has happened here but im currently speaking to a friend of mine who will be respraying the bonnet to its former glory, as well as a bit of paint and love here...

Spent abit of time yesterday putting my scorpion exhaust on too (made the most of about half an hour of sun!) :

So thats where things are at so far, have got quite a few ideas pf things I want to do once work settles down and the weather takes a nicer turn. These include...

Bonnet and Arch paint & tidy up
Replacing the two front seats (from my old 6)
Dropping the car about 30mm
Fitting a strut brace (any recommendations?)
Refurbing the cyclones and spraying them
Replacing the front and rear badge
Tinting the windows.

Thats about it for now but I cant wait to start work on her properly!

Ross

Tinting the windows is a big no no? I don't mean pitch black tints, just a few shades darker....
I will be looking to get black masks (or doing them myself) in the future too, just not sure on the colour for the wheels, black is one of the choices, or I was going to go with a deep midnight blue colour.... Toying with both ideas!
Did anyone have recommendations on strut braces that are being used?
I'm also looking to get mud guards for the 6 too as a white car and living off a country road isn't the best situation Dunno

Thanks Retropug... Iv been after a white 6 for a while now but the ones I viewed were either in terrible condition or were sounding like a sewing machine so I was chuffed when this one popped up on piston heads!
Can't wait to get to work on it when the weather picks up too! I'm hoping to get to either the Kent meet or the ace cafe meet too which will be my first proper meet with A few of the forum members Smile

Yeah Bianca ones aren't very common at all.
I wanted one originally but when the Ph.2 I've got came up for sale I just couldn't pass it up. Having said that, other than moonstone and silver, I really like all of the colours they come in, and I don't dislike moonstone and silver, just find them a bit uninteresting.

Hope the car treats you well!

Iv had my heart set on a white one for a while as I say, had a cherry rallye and a black 6 previously and it's all built up to this Smile
The car is lovely to drive and as I say I can't wait to start tinkering with a few bits....
One thing I am after though (and it may not be the done thing) is some mudflaps for it, can anyone offer advice on them? I'm wondering if there is any that have the gti 6 logo on them? Or at least something that doesn't just look s**te Thumbs down lol

Hey Ashley cheers for the heads up there, I'm guessing a bianca wing isn't going to be the easiest to find?
I was wondering the reason and I'd also noticed the rust/bubbling which I'd never seen on a 6 or rallye there before....
Looks like I'm on the search for a genuine wing then Smile

Will be a sweet car when you tidied the paintwork up Thumbs up

Don't black mask it, every tom dick and harry has black masks!! Bored

I think the scorpion back box has the potential to look awesome but sadly its not really possible to get them sat properly in the cutout without some metal modification/fettling I think, I too suffer from the trip hazard that is a scorpion exhaust LOL

Enjoy the new 6 though Smile

Cheers Chris, it is a shame about the bits of bodywork that need some love, but once all is done she will be looking lovely! Thumbs up
Your comment on the scorpion exhaust made me laugh, they should come with a long vehicle marker!
They do sound perfect though so can't complain too much, although when changing the over I did notice I needed a replacement fitment plastic block thing (very technical term!) so I picked one up today and will be fitting tomorrow! No more rattling thank you very much No

Is it decat mate? Might be why I have no idea, saying that I don't remember it protruding that much on my rallye but it is definitely fitted correct so I honestly don't know

Mine has a powerflow mid section welded to the scorpion. But the way its all welded has made the scorpion hang closer to one side of the cutout on my setup. Doh

The tailpipe itself sits further under the cutout than yours but I still hate it as it just looks funny!

I could probably get it sorted, either bend the hangers or have them weld it better but im meant to be keeping an eye out for a HDi rather than modding my 6!

The tailpipe on the scorpion certainly looks great but it just pokes out too far unfortunately Sad
