Ladies and gentlemen ( are there any ladies on here?) I have recently acquired a blaze GTi-6 upon which I could go on and on about as I have wanted one since 1997 and of recent years have been unable to find a decent one. Anywho, I am now the very proud owner of a 6. I have owned several "hot hatches" over the years, Williams Clio mk1, 16v Clio, 306xsi, 306s16, 5gt and recently a 106 gti which I owned for 6 years and rebuilt over that time while it was also my daily drive, I eventually and reluctantly sold this as my wife kept reminding me that I am 6'3" and 17stone oh and that I had two children. In the interim I had a mgzt 190 (water pump went) and a 1997 polo l 1.4 with a cassette player and wind up windows. This just failed its mot as it was rotten so needing a new car I checked auto trader and two miles away was the 6. Rest is history.
And I am rambling.
Do we have anything on the site showing where members are? Would be good to know who the local guys/gals are. Big grin

Yeah man. I came to see your rallye but at the time just couldn't afford the car and then to get the HG done.
Yeah it was the one from broughton with the 'on screen prince' of £1495. Got it alot cheaper with 12 months tax and ticket.

What happend to the rallye?

Thanks for the welcome guys I am chuffed to finally be here Big grin

It is a bit low. I will upload some pictures when I work out how from my mobile.
I was dubious about the height at first but it is on Bilstein dampers and seems to handle really well.

Still got it. Still love it. I am trying desperately not to throw money at it and just enjoy as it is.
A couple of weeks ago a range rover TDV8 pulled up alongside me at the lights, and we both went for it, and we were neck a neck up to the top of 4th gear at which point I let him pull in front of me. He was as shocked as I was as we both assumed we would blitz each other.
this has left me in dire need of more power. So I keep trawling eBay for bargains.
best car I have owned thus far! Shame about the colour Big grin
