I have to say though, I dont think stans doing a bad job. Hes helped sort the place out into a more user friendly place. If he deems something to be offensive that his choice as admin. We all helped put him there. I think maybe gilesy got banned a bit quicker than I might have but thats his choice. Anyhow, your all doing great. Carry on.

And not that I'd expect him to care about my opinions - but merely because it came up - I agree with you, most of the time. I would never want to be a moderator, it's a thankless task, takes lots of hours, and as I've said many times before, I'm grateful to other people for doing it because it's a job that needs doing.

The issue here is that there's a crossover - Stan uses his powers as a moderator to silence or edit people who are saying something about him personally, and that's the wrong side of the line. FFS I get called a nob on average every 5.3 seconds on this forum, doesn't mean I'd go around banning people if I had the chance, you man up and get on with it.

My irritation (as I've mentioned many times before, but those threads have probably been auto-deleted by now, pow) is that this once every few months this site has a big thread like this, someone gets banned, something minor gets changed, then the site goes back to resting on its laurels until the next one, it's like it's got a bloody menstrual cycle.

It irritates me because it could be better with relatively little work. Other than when Stan gets all jumpy, I have no qualms with him or his moderation whatsoever. His political views, maybe - but I don't see why that should be relevant to him being a mod.

That is annoying. I almost get angry when people do that. But like a true englishman, I just roll over and let them carry withit so not to upset them so chose not to overtake in an aggressive manner upto the legal speed limit according to the appropriatly sized signs.
