I've been looking at these for a daily, when.I'm not using the van.

Just wondering if any of you have had one, and if they are any good?

I do have one.

I'd recommend them. They are a good step up from the 306.

They are a fair bit quicker and more refined. Repairs/parts can be a little on the expensive side, but it is the same for all modern hatches.

As for the looks, I actually think that they are quite good looking. in 2002 when that shape first came out, it was a bit different but most hatches seem to have some form of big bum now so the shock of the massive arse has mellowed with age.

According to the computer, I am getting 28-30mpg on short town and short motorway trips. So similar to a 306.

Ride comfort is good, they are a good balance between firmness and comfort. Although, the lightness of the steering doesn't give you as much confidence as the steering in a 306.

It is a LOT more refined than a 306 and generally a nice place to be,

Just cause you/people have got used to the shape does not make it any less ugly!!!!LOL

Its the angles of the rear hatch/glass and flatness of the glass that looks awful imoThumbs up

I must admit, I'm with Kev on this one...

I bet they are cracking cars to drive, however I just don't get what the engineers were thinking about the look.

The rear hatch/glass is interesting, but I personally think that they are a really good looking car (especially from the front)

Here is my R26. I quite like the looks. (Especially from the front). Note, these are my winter wheels, that is why it hasn't got R26 wheels fitted.

I can Kindof see what Kev means by the tailgate glass though:

I wouldn't say that it is too bad from behind either.

That said, when they first came out, I always used to joke that you would always have to reverse them into a parking space to hide the back end.

[edit] Looks like I could do with some air in my tyre.[/edit]
