lookin for advice on what suspension kit yo put on my rallye , had a quote off demon tweeks for weitec or ytec kit for around 400 pounds and would lower the car by 40 mm , would it be wise to lower by this amount if its only for fast road use ? or does anyone know of a better setup ? ________________________________________ darrenevansbianca white rallye t706wox |

Search is your friend Don't bother with Tweeks recommendation! Get yourself some eibachs for the front and lower the rear to suit. Ideally, fit solid mounts to the rear aswell ________________________________________ FRESHLY RE-FURBISHED GTI BEAMSFITTING AND LOWERING AVAILABLE. Depends on your budget. The cost of fitting eibachs to the front and lowering the rear is dirt cheap to do. But what condition is your axle in to start with? Just under £1000 gets about the best set up there is for fast road. b8s, eibachs, roller bearing wishbones, b6 rear shocks, solid mounts, vts bars ________________________________________ FRESHLY RE-FURBISHED GTI BEAMSFITTING AND LOWERING AVAILABLE. Jord trying to get some more work "What condition is your rear beam in" If your going to use it every day don't use solid rear mounts and lower it as you will have no teeth left in your head. Depends on what compromise you want between performance/drivebility ________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! I know it sounds like that, but the slightest sign of seizing or camber makes a considerable amount of difference to the handling.Dirt cheap set up I personally would just use new o/e mounts ________________________________________ FRESHLY RE-FURBISHED GTI BEAMSFITTING AND LOWERING AVAILABLE. Every single 306 should have their rear beam rebuilt if you are thinking about any kind of performance out of them, they just don't like 15 years without being rebuilt! There is no point putting tidy shocks on something that is all over the shop. ________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! All depends what you want really, Personally of you do this kind of level of work its becuase you want the best out of the car and plan on keeping it for a while. So to me its always worth doing the beam too, these cars are slowly working into the "pretty f**king old" territory, they dont necessarily look it though. Im a fine one to talk though as my suspension is shafted (mainly becuase i thought i had more time and was buying everything at once. If i could do it again it would be slightly more logic and likely id have had a fresh setup for a number of months now, but you live and learn.) That kit sounds like cheap and nasty **** to me so id avoid. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

Yes. The eibachs fit standard struts. About £120 should get you a new pair delivered. Personally I'd fit new genuine strut top kits. But they're about £65 a side inc rest cups ________________________________________ FRESHLY RE-FURBISHED GTI BEAMSFITTING AND LOWERING AVAILABLE.
