Has anyone done this? Should I do this? How should I do it?

It is looking in heck of a mess on mine and needs to be changed anyway, plus it is getting in the way of my reconditioning of the front end! Has anyone had issues with the power steering fluid overheating since I've never really heard of it on a car before. What happens if the fluid does overheat, can it damage the seals on the ram?

New ones are around £30 IIRC, but I dont see any issues with removing it as most other models didnt come with them anyway.

Mine was removed in early 2008 when I carried out the first charger conversion. Never found it a problem. Thumbs up

Well it seems stupid to dive into a job only to backtrack as I f**ked it up. This forum is full of people that have done that for me already, so I ask before I do now. my 205 died of me doing to much work with too little knowledge

Pug would not fit one if not needed!LOL

Must be some research/tests they did in which the PAS fluid required coolingDunno

Lots of track cars run small oil coolers to cool the PAS fluid,so it does get hotWink

Have seen people say in Evos on the track you can get the fluid bubblingYes

My Rover used to boil it idling on the drive, even with a fluid cooler exactly the same as the Rallye. My Rallye does take double the amount of PAS fluid though in comparison.

Successfully removed it on the Rover with no ill effects.

Removed mine on my red 6 years ago as I was crushed in a minor front ended before I bought the car. Also removed from my black 6 when supercharged it. Never had issues with las fluid on either.

You'll need to throw money at the car. Not on parts. Just stand near your car and throw loose change at it, I find this increases performance for a short period of time
