You drill them out.Its a pop rivet very easy to drill out as only very thin. When in doubt google it ;-) ________________________________________ V6 Power!Faster I can go the better! Its not what you drive, its how you drive that wins the race! |

Pop rivets are easy to drill out as said. Wait until you get to the spot welds, they are a bit harder to remove.________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

Use a proper 'spot weld drill' so you dont make a mess of it or the panel underneith, its a flatter type of drill with a sharp point to it which will go into the pop rivit hole .________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. For a spot weld yes. And the spring type ones are s**t. You only need a normal drill bit for a pop rivet. Get the right size bit, drill until the head pops off and knock the tail through. Do it right and you wont touch the panel. Job done ________________________________________ How to do a clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

I just grind a normal hss drill to a flatter angle and to make it more controlable I would flatten the rake out a bit. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

Im not saying not to use a drill but i found a drill takes longer and can move around, so i use the spot weld drill for better control, one blip and its gone as they are sharp, drills are not as. If poster hasnt got one then drill is fine but if he has then worth using it instead of.________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. Each to their own. And more importantly what suits the person drilling. I am just picturing being at work drilling off rivets in an aircraft skin with a spot weld drill ________________________________________ How to do a clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

Yep that will take a while and the op might not know the size of the rivet hole. Once the top of it is off the rivet just falls out when iv done it on the 306 wings.________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. I'll get the drill on them bas**rds tomorrow then! Maybe get some money out of the car rather than pumping it into the car. I didn't even find any money when I stripped the interior, what a spin out! Everyone seems to have found money when they strip theirs, I end up with nothing. Did you have a once over before you sold it Ash?________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected!
