Landfill sites? Tool hire depot? Haulage depot? Throw them a few quid and get yourself on the weighbridge. ________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

There's public weighbridges around. http://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/upload/public/attachments/550/LISTOFLI.pdf (assuming you're in Grantham!)I took my Nova into one near Chelmsford, chap there looked a little surprised but was happy to weigh it. Didn't charge me anything. ________________________________________ "Talking about badgers is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" Steve McBadgerTransversa aurigatio transcurro arvae. |

I've just googled a list for Essex, and apparently the one I went to charges a tenner a time. I think they're set up for trucks etc, probably why he looked surprised at a ratty GTE bouncing in. ________________________________________ "Talking about badgers is life. No idea if they will actually let you, but VOSA testing stations (the ones that do VICs etc.) have weighbridges.________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

If you claim its to weigh your car to confirm towing legality, they might be persuaded. But I think the chances of them telling you to "f**k off" will still be very high. ________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

I'm pretty sure there is a VOSA testing station just outside Grantham on the A52? Might be worth popping by to see if they will do it. ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

When I had mine corner weighted in came in at 988kg with a half cage in it, totally stripped out, with only the dash and heater left in it, along with 2 fixed bucket seats.Weight distribution after adjustment was 50/50 cross axle, and 65/35 front to rear. My race car weighs 1025kg without me. That's with Perspex windows to the rear hatch and side, and the original metal bonnet and hatch and doors not cut out. Still using the original Cyclones as well. Will cut the doors and rear hatch about this winter to lose a bit more weight. ________________________________________ Adventure before Dementia !! |
