Hi mate thanks again for your support.

Please see below images of what happened, if you can let me know your thoughts on damages/costs etc that would be very helpful.

I've spoken to insurance (yet to have value confirmed etc) but they have said everything will be taken into consideration, from my LPG conversion to my personal number plate retention costs if necessary. So that's all good.

Please see below pics. Hopefully I'll get a call soon from insurance (maybe few days) to get things moving. Courtesy car should be sorted out too on the 3 parties insurance.

And this is the distance the car was shunted back (from people to where car is)...

your at least looking at,..

pretty much an entire front end from the screen forward,..
parts of the Chassis may be twisted too
make sure you get that cam belt re-timed back up it may have jumped after a knock like that!
I have a £10 riding on it been written off mate,...
be easier to re-shell than repair!

sorry but I'd rather walk/peasant wagon or Taxi before i'll risk my car in this weather!

Sorry to hear that Sad

Is it just the angle of the headlight panel against the inlet - or has the engine been moved back towards the left? I'd get it in the air and have a nosey underneath and see if mounts have moved. Is the car in your possesion still? Don't let it out of your sight.

    Ouch! Gutted for you. You'll need minimum of bonnet/ slam panel/ grille/ hockey sticks/ headlights/ fans & cowling/ radiator/ bumper.

Looks like the drivers side has taken the brunt of it, but outer wings look ok in pics?? The panel gap between drivers door/ wing looks ok to me ??

My worry would be the drivers side chassis leg.

The Transit looks like it got off lightly!

Engine looks like its ok and in normal position. Air bags went off too which hurt a bit.

Van at fault. Came out of a side road onto a main road, hit another moving car which made it come into my direction and smash into me head on, leaving the other car on my side of the road, but on the path. Everyone ok just having check ups as I do genuinely think I have a case of whiplash as does my mrs who also very very shaken. Still today cant stop crying and very confused. Hard to take it all in but will be ok once I get things moving with the claim... (being sorted).

Just posted pics for Carl to see the damage as may be a great help

As I said on Facebook I'm really sorry to see it!

The HDi didn't look anywhere near as bad but there were underlying clues to the real damage i.e. both airbags out for a start, cracked windscreen and passenger wing was pushed back affecting the pillar where the doors bolt on to.

You will probably be best to start again but keep this one and strip it bare using what ever you need.

if memory serves once the air bag goes off it's a new ecu as well!

I'm with Dan that engine doesn't quite look like it's sitting right could just be the camera angle as he says but their's not much in the way of stability from the bottom engine mount so could just be that that's a little off!

Not again Jamma Sad Looks worse than when I smashed my Diablo into an armco Shock

Looks like just the slam panel that's on the p**s rather than the engine?... You could be lucky as far as the engine is concerned, that is bloody close!

Sadly its that time of the year where the snowy/icy conditions seem to claim a number of 6's/rallyes and im afraid i think that will be written off aswell.
I cant see anyway that will not be beyond economical repair.

Hope the transition is as painless as possible fella but like others have said i think you will be best off looking for a new 6 Sad

Sad to say I also believe it to be a write off.

Cut loses and break it or throw more cash at it and fix it?... In hindsight wish I had done the later with my '6.

my gti6 was wrote off for OSF impact, needed a wing headlight and bonnet was rippled a little bit. that's a gonner for sure, it'll be fubar underneath. mine had a fair amount of chassis damage and it was a tiny shunt

time to live for another car!
