Cossack or Cherry Phase 1 would get my vote. The more angular lines at the front end seem to make it a sharper looking car than the Phase 2s & 3s.________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt? There is no option for 'in the breakers'. Disappointed.Pininfarina only ever designed the niche models for Peugeot, cabriolets, coupes etc. They designed the bodywork and Peugeot did the rest, except the 406 coupe where they had a lot more to do. They had absolutely nothing to do with the styling on the 205 and 306 hatchbacks/sedans. If you don't believe me then read their website. I would vote Rallye but can't find the voting buttons!I'd like a P1 too as I like the fact that they are simpler and lighter than the P2 and 3. Having said all that the deciding factor would be the best condition bodywork and service history. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

Download from their website It says niche cars and then others "followed" and then lists the 306 so I read it that they did indeed design the hatchback. "They were niche cars, coupés and cabriolets. Pininfarina produced the bodies which were them sent to Peugeot where the mechanical parts were assembled. A series of numbers and successes followed 404-204-504-205 and 306 to which we must now add the latest, the 406 Coupé" ________________________________________ Less than 24 hours to go! |

Rallye gets the vote for me, less to go wrong! So how is a ph1 lighter than a Rallye then? Is it the shell? Because trim wise, surely the Rallye's lighter...? If it's the shell, what's different?________________________________________ Bianca white 306 RallyeArctic blue Clio 182 FF Alpine white 205 1.9 GTI |

I voted phase 3 as its the prettiest by far and colour coded crystal lights etc ive done just about everything i can to make my phase 2 into phase 3. however I loved the front end on all 5 phase 1's I've owned looks far more aggressive. Well i did some research and found the 205 forum answers pretty useless. They say aroubd 185 bhp per ton which isnt a proper ratio of the 167 bhp with the standard weight of a normal 205 gti fitted with this engine. Then someone decided to flex his muscles and closes the thread with no real factual conclusion. Anyways i found this web page that seems about right, would be nice to find a ratio tool, obviously looking at it with standard power figures and weights. http://www.easier.com/101879-pug1off-classic-peugeot-205-gti-21st-century.html This site says 186 but still no torque ratios with say 3 different gearboxs like the 1.9 VTS and 6 speed. ________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. So my phase 3 no sunroof or aircon (removed) slimline fans and brembo brakes and lighter wheels would be up there in the power to weight ratio |
