hi guys as u can tell frm the subject im new here,4 months ago i just had a look at the site on the projects section and some of ur builds inspired me 2 try something different,as ive been a ford man for the last 10 years especially rs turbos i just wanted a change so i spied thru fleabay and purchased myself a standard moonstone phase3 gti6,high mileage bt near enuf full history, does require sum slight cosmetics and especially the dreaded drivers seat lol for £475,ive drove about in it for a couple of months problem free and now chucked 12 months test on it.........now i want 2 make a nice lookin solid modified 6,i havnt the slightest clue about these so all info and help wen i start postin will b much appreciated

I'd say chuck your cash at the suspension. Lower it 30-40mm on some descent shocks and springs, 21mm torsion bars and a hybrid anti roll bar. Then get some decent brake pads like ds2500 and braided hoses with fresh oil and you'll have loads of fun without making it too much. Wink

Was it gay stone/manstone/moonstone?
I thought that one was silver?
I'm sure ratty will be along soon to clarify as he was most effected by the whole episode Sad

Maybe thats right, It was hard to be 100% on the shade of silver due to the copious semi skimmed all over it
