you parked illegally - pay the fine they'll have took a photo anyway i guess to back it up. spelling mistakes etc are just admin error and they'd not really count for anything i don't think. or atleast that was the case with a producer / speeding thing went through where they spelled peugeot wrong and put it as a 206 ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

A small child gets aids when you park illegally. Pay up and he'll be cured. ________________________________________ For we are many.PS£ ID: Monkey369 |

Chris28190 wrote: Depends if its private or penalty charge notice. The first they can't really do s**t Correct. Unless its a council ticket, don't bother paying it. Technically it's not a fine if its a private ticket. It's a invitation to pay. |

Council or police, I'd pay.... if not, as others have said, they can't do anything. I got one at a hospital last year and have heard nothing back. Plenty of consumer rights sites/groups have info relating to private charges. They have uploaded images of the 'legal' letters you may receive from bailiffs ________________________________________ Red Rallye - Rolling "restoration"Wishbone Polybushes available |

Yeah just pay up before the aloted time to get it at half priceRuns out generally its a £60 fine but you can get it for £30 If you pay up right away! I'd only do this if its a council or police one Others tend to ask for an extortionate amout Like where I work where the'll try sting you for £90,.. You can just ignore these they'll just harass you a bit But can't do s**t! ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

If its private, don't even reply to it. Even if you reply saying your not paying on the basis that they legally can't fine you, they will hassle you. Generally if you ignore it completely, you won't ever hear from them again. Most don't even send bailiffs out any more because they know they can't collect anything from you so it's not worth their time. |

^ see I appreciated he was a bit special so thought he meant ended up paying, but just wondered - I.e for reference. It appears he actually meant he will end up paying. Either way he needs to A ) Proof read his posts for clarity, and B ) not park like a w**ker and we wouldn't still be discussing this. ________________________________________ |
