Think you mean rebuilt engine then recon head Yes

Either way it sounds the same as my rallye all though that wasn't down on power ?

Big ends tend to knock when they go rather than rattle. If as I suspect the engine had a belt go at some point the pistons take a whack ? Seen all sorts of damage caused and despite what certain welsh people think I know exactly what I,m talking about Yes

Start saucing a new engine it will be cheaper in the end Yes

it had a replacement engine due driving through a large puddle then the headgasket went and a recon head was put in with all new gasket etc Thumbs up

can you get a vid of the noise?


no need to take the bumper off just to fit the bottom hose, just lube up the o-ring and it will just pop in, moving the washer reservoir can help.


Exactly I doubt someone bought a brand new bottom end and then a brand new head No

Replacement engine from where ?

Dangti6 has a 73k engine for sale Yes

to be fair I did say to him before that it appeared to be white smoking, so I'm gonna do a compression test on it...

He's tryed getting my cammed up engine from my project lol
