Also, I noticed another little gem yesterday. Mr jcphat offered up some advice, and got this reply from Ash, our ever-friendly führer:"captainash wrote: Thank you or your expert input So someone gives their opinion, and is immediately belittled. Nice one." I'm really chuffed that my minor contribution to all this has been noticed by one of the most entertaining members. I'm quite old and have reached a place in life where I'm entrusted with difficult things to do -it is such a blessing to be patronised, it does me good. Ironically my post was broadly supportive of the position where Admin is directly challenged by a mere member, still for a fiver it is worth it! My last contribution was immediately followed by a lock-let's see how I get on this time. ________________________________________ New Forum same high quality intellectual debate!Team Zimmer™ |

Yeah I read your post and to be honest I didn't know how it could be taken. There are so many sarcastic posts and ones where you need to read between the line that I think your post may have been misinterpreted? ________________________________________ Less than 24 hours to go! |

Right, seriously, can everyone please just stop all this and remember that as (I believe) I am the only person to have been Member of the Month twice, that technically I am the most useful person on this forum. FACT. Anyway, must dash. I'm off to McDonalds to demand a change to their burger recipe. Keep up the pointless analogies, Stanley. They entertain me. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

quote: Genuine question. Do you still own a 6? What kind? Never seen you mention it :p Genuine answer. No, joined when in the throes of developing a modified cabrio, late ph 3 with 6 cams inlet and exhaust alloy pulleys eibach's and decent but heavy 180 brakes. Moved on long ago having realised that old french cars are lots of fun and lots of work. Still here because I still find people here entertaining and some of the projects astonishing. ________________________________________ New Forum same high quality intellectual debate!Team Zimmer™ |

I wouldn't do well with Twitter, you can only post 140 characters so I'd have to send roughly 400 tweets a time just to get my point across.________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

ian7675 wrote: It was one man with a bunch of followers, it's quite easy to see that. Yep, I suppose it is like that actually. Regardless, it won't change. As Owain has said before "we've had this debate a thousand times and we'll have it a thousand more" still nothing will change and everyone will still be here... So... Owain is no longer banned, the edit function is no longer broken and Ash is still improving the site (the latest update being a 'Car now sold' checkbox on adverts so the OP can close their threads once their vehicle has been sold, before anyone asks). Therefore, I reckon it's time we all moved on and settled down as we were before. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

owain wrote: We could always get back on that thread about removing the auto-lock feature? Yes, this is currently being looked at and discussed by Admin so hopefully we will come up with a better solution to the problem soon. I actually agree with you on this one mate, I'm not a fan either. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
