Heard mixed reviews about both but the hi specs came with 2 sets of discs and ds2500 pads so thought id at least get my use out of them if they was no good!

will soon see when i get to test them.

God its cold today! At least all the show has gone now. Was quite bad over the last few day but the rain over night has cleared it away Smile People had abandoned there cars everywhere! Just coming out of my village there was 4 abandoned and 1 crashed Taxi LOL

This was Wednesday night on my way to work

Wish i just cracked on yesterday and got finished!
Had to sort my Garage out a little so i could find some tools 1st before I could even start on the car, Starting to get a nice collection of wheels in there LOL another set coming tomorrow as well.

1 set of 17" 307 HDi challange alloys - for the girlfriends 206cc
1 set of 15" very good condition (as some may say on ebay) RARE Cyclones Laugh my ass off
1 set of 17" Audi S4 alloys
1 set of 19" BMW X5 alloys - Genuine borbets, 9" wide fronts and 10" wide rears
1 set of 16" speedline 2108s
And tomorrow i am collecting a set of Speedline 2118s

Yesterday i made a start with my coilovers and thought while the front wheel arch was easy to get to i sorted a few more little bits and bobs while i was at it. Noticed the CV boot on the N/S had no grease left in so cleaned that up and put some fresh grease in and a new CV tie on, Cleaned and sprayed the inner wheel arch, i was going to underseal it but did not see the point as it cleaned up very well, Made a start puling a few pits and bobs out the way under the bonnet so i could spray the strut tops and easy to access bits.
When the shaft was out i noticed there was more room than i had thought between the shaft and the subframe. Anyway got everything done on the passenger side yesterday.

New ride hight

Also made a start on the Driver side... Bit more work to be done on this side. CV boot had no tie on so all the grease had came out of that one too, Down pipe is a mess! Dented to avoid the subframe what wont be helping at all! 1 of the welds is cracked as well, could do with a new down pipe to be honest if i can get hold of 1 that is.
Then is got dark and started to p**s down! Just having a coffee in my new cut then will be going back out to crack on and see what else i can get done. May even take the Go Kart out to see what its like in the wet Whistle

Why black what? Bonnet grill and lights? There just the colours of parts I have bought to replace panels that were dented or broke. Full car is going in for a respray over the Christmas so will all be 1 colour in the new year Cool

Yes it will be sitting lower but 1 of todays jobs is to see if i can fit a spacer on the engine mount to maybe lift the engine up about 10-15mm also have my sump guard to fit

This is the clearance i have from the strut brace so it can come up a good way

More on the update from yesterday Smile Got the other coilover fitted today no problem, Raised the engine around 15mm. Had to make a spacer to sit between the rubber engine mount and the bracket off the engine what wasnt a problem. Good job i did raise it that much or else my sump guard/engine tray wouldnt have fit on, God it was tight... VERY TIGHT...

Dropped the car down and took it down the street for it to scrape on every bump Sad Back home to lift the coilovers 20mm, All seems spot on now, been out in it and done around 40mile and not a single scrape Big grin happy days.

Off to Scotland at 9am to collect a few other parts as mentioned earlier and when i get beck there are a few patches on the down pipe that need welding back up if i can get it off! if not then will have to see how hight i can get the car to do it from underneath.

The car sits 20mm higher than in this pic now:
