Yeah thats the thing i have been considering as i have quite a few bits that will sell quite easy. I love the car and the power/speed of it and the sound is just epic Cool Very quiet when just cruising along until you open it up and the V6 note Love

I :like the light blue meganes or the black ones, Cup ones are mainly silver and am not a fan of silver. Whats the difference between a 225 and a 225 cup?

Always throwing money at them like. i would rather sell the car complete as less hassle but more money to be made in bits.

Suspension on a megane isnt a problem as i would fit coilovers anyway, as for esp cant you turn it off anyway on a 225? Always liked them. Seen a couple of clio 172s with the 225 engine in, bet that would be fun but read they handle crap compared to a 306, i had a 172 and and i hated it because of the traction control kicking in and killing the power!

No not a standard 225. Tbh the last thing you should do to a decent renaultsport is f**k about with the suspension. CUJs r26 was in a different league to my 306.

Well try to sell it whole, but it needs a few things sorting before its going to reach a decent value.

Yeah thats the thing, may just remove all the goodies and put it back to standard likes of breaks, lights, exhaust ect... may have to leave coilovers on there but will remove the wheels

Sure. Whistle

Why don't you sack off this XSi and try not to buy a heap of s**t to replace it with. Try to get something with low mileage, few previous owners, FSH, mechanically and aesthetically standard and without a bodged engine conversion.

This car will amaze and delight you by:

Starting every morning without fail.
Being reliable when you need it.
Not constantly needing it's subframe adjusted.
Not requiring 18 pot 400mm brakes and -150mm coilover 'upgrades'.
Just simply being 'a car'. No more, no less. Just a car.
Actually having a value when you inevitably come to sell it in 12 days.

This is what most other people do and as a result their ownership is measured in years not hours. LOL

Laugh my ass off

Its best for Eddy to break them for bits. If he uses the car for any amount of time the engine will explode Laugh my ass off

LOL i have been looking into megane 230s and clio 200s but pit pricey and need to get my house sorted before i commit to finance or a loan. Looking at a couple of clio 172s for not the 2 i am looking at are 70-80k miles and standard cars so hopefully will do me for the time being Thumbs up

Well after a long hard think about it while i have been stuck here at work and after all of the 306 v6 owner dreamers that have messed me about wanting something they cant afford i have decided not to sell it any more Big grin i have narrowed it down to 3 options instead...

1. Keep it and fix it
2. Break it for parts
3. Scrap it

Thoughts?????

I had spent a good bit on this then after putting it back to how i bought it just about i thought it would be easyer to sell than break it. Laugh my ass off how i was wrong there!

I wouldnt of let it go for £600 either on ebay.

I paid a fare wack to get mine done by pug1off but i made 2k profit from buying and selling so it aint cost me to much in the end.

Fix it mate if you have the patience and if economical enough!

I came close to breaking mine several times whilst it was at pug1off due to other bits needing done but i stuck with it.

Better breaking then weighing in for scrap!

If you aint got the room or time to break just sell it as a spares and repairs as will still get more money then scrap

I can just take my time with it if i keep it as i have space at my new house and i have the clio now for a day to day car. Just means pulling the engine to do the clutch and sorting out my snapping cable problem! Also sure it will throw a few more niggles at we when i pull it out.
If i did keep it i would go all out, strip all i can from it and just run it on track as the clio is too good to trash

Too much hassle and money what i dont have to boost the clio. V6 is there just needs clutch and thats quick and hopefuly a cheap fix. Clutch shouldnt be that hard to do. As the clio is i dont think its quick enough for track as last year i was passing them with ease in the astor 6 and to get any decent power means spending plenty of money like the gti6 engines

Are those braided lines for the clio or the v6?

After a set like that for mine so I can ditch the ABS.
