Ive recently done an extention for an ex mclaren seat builder who builds custon seats to suit the driver.
Hes now working on his own and builds seats for all of f1 and other drivers. He uses a method that only 2 other people in the world use and its brilliant. Moulds your body into a seat. Just wonderd if any of you would be interested in a price on getting a custom seat made?

What's the method? You can buy one of the seat moulding kits from Demon Tweeks.

From what i gathered it a big bean bag of polystyrene injected with a certain type if resin. Then cut and moulded into the perfect shapethen fabricated. The seat that i was showed.... I picked up with 2 fingers and could barely feel and weight

I'm not saying he's lying or anything, I'd just be interested to know more about how he does it, I've always found it quite interesting.

Would be keen to know if there's anything wrong with the DT method.

Nothing wrong with the DT method, I just wonder if he's found a way of making it even lighter, not easy though as the two pack foam method is already pretty damn light.

Well Dunno the seat he made for hamilton cost alot when i asked how much he said "thousands" so i dont think its a simple as the dt method. Bearing in mind that he fabricates them to a perfect work of art. I should have got some pictures

Now I'm getting older I'm more into my flying armchairs rather than small hatches so I would like someone to make me a memory foam seat for my Volvo which is as comfy as my bed....possibly add some shagpile to the floor too.
