I have a 77,000 mile engine removed from my old ph1 Xsara VTS complete with loom and all ancillieries. Ripe for putting into a 205 Whistle

It's a good, quiet runner which was used as a daily for a year so there are no hidden nasties. No taps, no smoke etc etc. Pulls well. I have a video of it starting and running which I can send to anyone interested. I have the previous MOT's to validate the mileage.

£400

Collection from Taunton, Somerset. I don't have the facilities to have it couriered.

Would you do it bare? Wouldn't need loom and ancillaries.

No as it's worth keeping whole with that mileage.

I have a higher mileage unit you can have bare if it's of interest.

Dan, as long as a courier is able to access where the engine is stored, they can do all the rest of it. They can put it on a pallet and wrap it all for you for a price. Or you could just tell whoever's buying it to arrange their own at a time when you can be there for the collection. I've used Palletline this way before and had no issues (other than a seller repeatedly failing to be available at the pre-arranged time).

To be fair, with being just 110 miles away this is probably the most viable option.

Fuel and hire costs will probably come in around, if not less what a pallet courier would charge, and you don't risk them kocking it over, dropping it on the sump etc etc - insert all horror stories here.

The main problem I have with pallet collection is I live on a suburban housing estate and would need to leave it on the end of my drive leaving it up to them to lift on a pallet.

Do you not know anyone Rob with an old estate or small box trailer who'd be willing to lay some rugs down and have it put in the back of there?
