To be fair, they're not *that* expensive. It will cost you around £7k to go for a high boost charger option drive in/drive out service and Ecosse have a massive name in modifying Peugeots... ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

aaron6 wrote: Is that a change of internals too? For the £7k (approx) price? Yes, it's a complete drive in/drive out service, i.e. you drive a standard GTi-6/Rallye in, and you drive out a high boost. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Yes you could probably spend 6 months doing it in the garage, but some folks havent got the mechanical knowledge or even inclination to DIY, hence pay up and drive away. ________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt? It's exactly that Matt to be honest. You *could* do it at home (fatlapit is having a go after all) but it will take a LOT of time, knowhow and tooling. If you've got the cash, get someone else to do it who possesses all of these. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

I have just looked, and the price for everything for a high boost conversion is: £8756.74Pretty similar to Ecosse's price actually... ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

On the 269bhp conversion I believe so, as a low boost charger gives 260bhp on a standard lump. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Then surely that's a rip off? I'd expect new internals at that price.________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

So the ecosse one is £8400 for 269bhp on a standard engine (internals). Sorry but that's a crazy price.________________________________________ Less than 24 hours to go! |

Well I'm only assuming the internals will be standard as the standard lump can take that sort of power all day long. I may well be wrong and it DOES have a new build engine included in that price. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

I would hope it has a new lump in that otherwise I can't see where 8k has gone with a bit of labour with bolt on components. I might call them Monday and ask.________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

When ecosse first did their GTi6 turbo conversions i asked them what was included, they told me thatforged pistons were another conversion on top of the conversion! so yes it was a standard engine. They modified the 405 T16 exhaust manifold to suit the 6 head (i have one of these), used a Garrett T3 turbo (hybridised non water cooled RS turbo item) and Weber/Pectel P8 management same as what the Escort Cosworth ran. Basically your paying for a drive in drive out bolt on package. Iirc, they wanted ~ £12k for the 350bhp option, another 4k for forged internals and ecu revisions |

^^ That sounds about right to be fair.It may seem pricey, but at the end of the day your dealing with Ecosse, probably the most well known company in modifying Peugeots. Places like this will never be cheap. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
