Atspeed will be. a better option pity they use dp engineering

i'd probably agree with this, the T16 manifold isn't the best design tbh, it puts the turbo VERY close to the head

not allowing room for a proper sized downpipe elbow, 2.5'' max.

the pic of the engine bay in the link above belongs to the car that SOS motorsport currently have in their workshop

for a full make over

At that price you can buy a touring car can you not?
As for me wanting to do it... No. No I don't. I have a 6 for reasonable paced fun car that's cheap to run. It fits ithe bill a treat. Smile

I've no idea about any of Ecosse's pricing or engine work, but the body kits and spoilers are uuuuugly. IMHO.

Whilst this is true, it definitely is a case of getting what you pay for though. Yes

I'm not so sure there. If that's standard internals your better off going to lynx. They are nearly half the price for low boost are they not?

This maybe true Aaron, although don't forget a turbo conversion is a whole different ball game to a supercharger conversion. Yes

There is more to a turbo conversion than an SC package. Yes

There is but not an additional 4k's worth. Christ, the inlet and exhaust mani could be knocked up at a company like where I work for not a lot if the design is all proven which I can only assume it is. The same goes for ic pipework.

Hardly, while they do some quality work they also do some questionable jobs too, ask Mat about his MOT with them..

Naw, i'm firmly in the diesel and undriveable camp now. Practicality and fuel economy are very much ftw in my life right now!

Fair enough mate, whilst I like diesel drivability and economy it'll take a lot to persuade me to change from petrol power. Yes

I had originally planned to take my 306 (Bearing in mind this was before I had left school and pretty set my heart on a GTi6 LOL) to Ecosse for that sort of work only snag being a good 300+ miles one way plus the large bill and after seeing Rich W's mag feature back in '07 thus discovering Lynx and other companies since such as "Pug1off" and "Hiflowheads" which are a whole lot closer...

Oh really? That is a surprise Unsure I did make some enquiries with them for a replacement head but I guess just as well that didn't happen... Not likely I will use them as I don't have a 306 and isn't guaranteed I will own another. Would be nice though Sad
