Welshpug your the only person I know who rants about arches needing to be colour coded. It's a dark area of the car you can hardly see anyway, usually full of black plastic liner anyway and impossible to keep clean if it were painted. In short... Black FTW!Do you know what lacquer they used with the carbon? I'll soon attempt to rub mine down with fine wet&dry and re lacquer it. Not sure if I'm better off paying someone else to do it professionally though. ________________________________________ Black power baby! Mmm, I think the car looks great but I would do the arches the same colour as the car, I dunno just looks right I guess, it's your car so it's what you want.Get it fitted up so we can see the finished article. It's your car, do what you like best, but another +1 for black arches anyway. Well done Ollie, it's looking the tits already and it will be so much sweeter for the long wait leading to this.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Yep the paint job is at mates rates, his dad has informed me that I would be looking at a 10k bill if it was at normal rates..... Goes to show that if a business is that good at what they do they can charge what they like, they mainly have vintage and classic cars, they also do a lot of work for customers of Jim Stokes and have worked on lots of famous peoples cars.We (the UK) currently have 42 Chinooks, I work at fleetlands in the uk and at any one time we have 11 Chinooks infor maintenance, repairs or modifications. Out here there is 8 chinnys, at the Chinook main home (raf odiham) they have at least 10 on the pan on standby and some in hangers getting daily/weekly servicing. We also have 12 new mk6 chinnys getting manufactured in the US as we speak Out here its 8 off us civi's working 12+ hours a day for 14 days carrying out overhauls etc while the RAF sit in the t-bar watching films all day (im not bitter at all honest lol) |

Thanks, we do some work on the t55 714 engines but we are not really allowed to do a lot to them mainly change the hydro mechanical units and blend 1st and 2nd stage of the compressor blades, anything more than that we just change the engine as we don't have the contract to overhaul them so they just get sent back to HoneywellEnough about these s**t: copters and back on topic |

Not sure yet, as iv got 2 sets of wheels for the current setup im unsure weather to sell the original dimma wheels and wide track the rear so that I will only need 10mm spacers for the wheels above and I can also rebuild the rear split rims so they are the correct offset for the rear wide track or just get big spacers for the rear so then I will have 3 sets of wheels that I can chop and change with ease.Big spacers wouldn't really bother me on the rear as you know the original dimma wheels have a massive offset which is more or less the same as having big spacers. I think ash is running big spacers and has had no issues with wheel bearings and his is an extra 30mm wider each side at the rear! |
