Try not to be too disheartened about these few little issues. they always happen on big builds. The main thing is, it runs, it looks bloody amazing and its so almost there!

Thanks bud, I was a bit p**sed off but that's just the way it goes! It's main because I think the completion of selling my house will be in a week or two and was hoping to get it on the road so I don't have to rent a truck or try and build it in my parents garage!

Iv got a few other things I can get in with and hopefully when rich is back he will be able to sort it in no time

So I kinda have the satchshift installed and working... Still not right tho Sad

Here are some pics

The boot so touching the manifold Sad

The hole in the bulk head is definitely in the correct place as the rod is bang in the middle of the tube and boot!

The heater needed a little trimming around the feet vents but I just decided to get rid of a few bits as I only want the heat coming out of the windscreen vents, more Wight loss and more room for the selector rod

The reverse cable does reach but it's a bit tight in the engine bay now

Still trying to figure out why the stick won't pivot to the right no matter what I adjust
I can select all gears but 5th and 6th are a bit vague and don't feel like a positive selection

if the selector shaft on the box dropped down at all in the process of swapping the arm then it might not be correctly slotted into the mechanism inside the box.

is the lower engine mount fork attached? Colin did say I might need to trim the boot back more so it sits further back.

Why not change to a kit car heart that way you can get rid of the lot and they only weigh something like 3kg

Think that might be the problem as the shaft does move up and down a bit, a circlip kinda thing came off when I removed the old arm but thought it belonged to the old arm so left it off!

Yup bottom mount fitted, I took 5mm of the tube as that was touching the manifold so I might take more off and cut the boot down a bit

The reason I kept the heater was so I can use it to help cool the engine down if I need to plus it doesn't weight much at all now

Now it works properly it's definitely worth it, even going from a brand new set up to this the difference is unreal, the gear change is more defined!

Having the straight cut gears I will feel a lot more confident that I'll be selecting the gear that I want!

I'll fit Ross's Rich if you get my car running lol

I have to move out my house on the 13th so really really need the car running by then ,

I've been told by someone we all know & respect ...it was developed for Dog Box & 6 gearboxes don't like extra quick changes that the Satchell gives you ???
He said it a amazing bit of kit ...just go careful if your box is worn !!!

I've got mine coming from KAM Racing this wk ... Thumbs up

Keep us all updated with the pictures Thumbs up

I dint think the quick changes are an issue I think it doesn't like quick shift linkages as the positions are so close together and your more likely to select the wrong gear and cause damage to the dogs

Complete opposite in my opinion. You have a lot more control at actually selecting your chosen gear and gives you a lot more feel than standard with a sloppy setup. You can give the gearbox a lot more mechanical sympathy

Who's this someone?

So this afternoon went well....
Picked up my new heater matrix from Peugeot and fitted it to the heater unit

Due to me removing the lower part of the heater unit which had the lower support bracket on the unit was a bit loose with just the two bolts and didn't sit tight up against the air intake on the bulk head, as you can see by the intake iv added an extra mounting point, fitted a rivnut into the bulk head and bolted it up Smile job done

I then fitted the dash

With the lower part of the heater unit removed there is plenty of room for the satchshift

I also got round to start making my rear diffuser which I will hopefully get round to trial fitting tomorrow before then getting it powdercoated black

I know it's going to be a pain as I need to work out where the exhaust brackets pass through it and how I'm going to secure it

Fun fun fun

Na no science lol I'm not that clever plus I don't think the car is low enough to take full advantage of a proper diffuser, its mainly to stop the parachute effect on the rear bumper
