Looks tidy, been thinking of doing something similar with mine when its back up and running. You have to be a bit careful with rear diffusers, heard a few stories in the VAG world, mainly on MK2 Golfs where a big rear diffuser has worked too well and introduced a load of understeer!

I know about pressure, velocity, temperature from back in the day when I was learning theory of flight and divergent/convergent ducts for air intakes etc which may help me figure out how the rear diffuser will work.
If I can get the diffuser to slope slightly upwards towards the rear it will cause a negative pressure which should suck the rear down a little but I'm not expecting any gains to be honest

That was my plan, very sight upwards slope but nothing too major. Like you say, just the smoothing of the air flow under the spare wheel well would help a lot!

It's worth a shot and if does cause any handling issues I'll just remove it, the bumper had a centre exit exhaust cut out from the old setup so I just cut the lot away as shown in previous posts, just think the diffuser will look better than the big open gap and hopefully help airflow/down force.
Most things with this build is trial and error lol

Ding dong the b**ch lives!!!

Rich W came to the rescue not just on the starting issue but also the battery light! Can't say enough how greatful I am!

Soooo it appears it was my doing all along Sad

I shortened the wires going to the map sensor, yup it's only 3 bloody wires and I still managed to mix them up lol God knows how the rest of the electrics are working!!!!

So working out which wire was which we then got the car running woop woop! If only rich took a picture of my face.... I was so happy!

This was so important to me as I'm moving out of my house this weekend so a lot of stress has now been taken away

Next was the battery light....
After me panicking thinking I would have to strip the entire front end to swap the alternator Rich then made my day even better!
After cleaning the terminals and rich changing the starter motor signal cable end terminal and still no joy he then earthed the alternator using a jump lead to the chassis.... Ta da the light now came on the dash Smile

Again this was down to me giving the alternator a dusting of black paint it wasn't earthing to the engine ooops

I took the dash out to change the matrix, when I put it back in made sure the relays for the wiper motor were connected properly as well as the main bulk head wiring loom plug was clean and the pins were clean I now have fully functional wipers Smile

Its going back to my mates work tonight or tomorrow for body panel alignment and to re paint areas iv damaged.
Will hopefully be driving it to his depending on how a local test drive pans out

Im still waiting from the DVLA and HMRC for them to import the car and send me the new log book if required

I need to get my Clifford alarm fitted so I can lock it and so the standard alarm is removed as the hazards start flashing as soon as I get in it or start driving

Still loads to do like fit the rest of the plastic4performance windows, gauges, get an MOT.

Still think its going to be on the road anytime soon as iv sold my house and moving out this weekend, the new house im buying is way behind with regards to a completion date so iv got to go back to the parents with limited space to have my tools to finish the car
