Spent £60 just on an6 banjo's and banjo bolts for the supercharger but unfortunately I won't be able to use them so I'm forced to use the usual supplied push fit banjos with rubber hose 😠

The banjos I got are the straight ones and think automotive want £25 for angled ones which I'm not prepared to spend £100 just for the banjos with out bolts or braided line! Due to the ones I got being straight I would need to space them at least 4mm away from the charger to allow the AN fitting to be installed as the Banjo would sit hard up against the charger!

I'm going to tart up the old fittings with some black paint, buy some new rubber lines and hopefully they will look alright!

Just noticed that I didn't get the lift reverse part for my satchshift so I'll be in the phone chasing that tomorrow!

So these are the fittings I wanted to fit to the supercharger oil circuit

Due to the reason in the above post I couldn't make them work so an alternative was needed, rubbed down the old banjo bolts and banjo's and then painted them Smile

Happy enough with the result Smile
More or less finished plumbing it all up but I am waiting for a take off for the oil temp gauge then I can prime the charger

Why do they need to be banjo?
Male male nipple screwed in and a 90 degree swept fitting not do? Then you can be braided.

I did think about getting m10x1.0 to an6 straight and then a 90 degree an6 fitting but it would be to high and the bonnet wouldnt shut, that's why I would have had to use bango bolts in the first place Sad the only option would be to buy angled banjos from think automotive but it's way to much money!

I didn't think I would be happy with my solution but I think it looks good and breaks up all the silicon and braided lines I have in the bay, it's starting to look a little cluttered now Sad

Hopefully this weekend and then mot next weekend! Still won't be able to drive it tho as I have to re-import the car with HMRC then send off all the relevant paperwork to the DVLA, i should have done this ages ago but hey ho! Luckily I can use my mates trade plates (with him in the car) so will hopefully get the running in done and then get it mapped Smile

I'm starting to think it's got to much blue silicon

Well its going to be fun keeping it this clean once its up and running. What made you go with a white engine bay and not the same colour as the car?

The inside of the car is white too, just splits it up a bit and makes bits stand out more, also its good for spotting leaks.

Re-routed some of the silicon which has made a bit of a difference, looks good now in my opinion! It's mainly the oil catch tank hoses that were bugging me

The ecu box will be going black, the two 2" lengths of silicon on the braided lines are to stop the lines chafing on the engine/box but I might try and p-clip them so those bits of silicon hose can go

Rather a lot going on in the engine bay though to be fair and to make it look tidy or hidden is a pain in the arse especially with the filter relocation kit

Just wired up the fans, next is to earth the afr gauge and then it's time to fill the engine with oil and the fuel tank with fuel and do a leak check! Still can't turn the engine over though as I still need the take off for the charger oil temp before I install the last hose

Only through the catch tank, rich removed the breather from the charger when it was his car and has run like that since

Well well I dont believe it...
Just put half a tank of fuel in, filled the engine with oil, connected everything electrical, crossed my fingers and turned the key (didn't turn the engine over)

Considering I stripped the interior loom, dash loom and engine bay loom it appears everything I need working works lol
Both fuel pumps prime, all the lights work (except the side indicators but I dont need them), the horn works, the afr gauge works etc

The oil level gauge doesn't move, it's been such along time since iv been in a 306 I can't remember if it only shows the level when you start the engine or if it's meant to read the level when the ignition I's on???

Also the hazards flash to start with, I assume it's the alarm.... I currently have no central locking as I have no sensor in the roof so I'm guessing it thinks the car has been entered with out the doors being unlocked??

I need to remove the air bag light bulb but all seems to be good... I'll find out more when I start it tomorrow or Saturday

Good work.

I remember spending an age on the wiring on my buggy. Used a loom from a donor beetle plus had an A0 print out of the loom. Spent a week tracing and labelling wires. Remember hooking it all up and apart from a couple of crossed wires (indicators, so front left and rear right flashed together Big grin ) it was all good. Very rewarding feeling.

Nice one

Yeah oil level should show on the second click of the key. If the sensor is missing or damaged, the needle waves a few times then sits at minimum

Edit: Also, your battery light isn't working Thumbs up

bulb dead i would imagine as if i remember rightly, it is always on except when the dials receive voltage from the small wire off of the alternator.

nice one, just had a search and could only find problems with the battery light being constantly on or dim!
I cant even remember what car I took these clocks from, the dimma is built from various parts from 3 or 4 cars iv owned.
The wipers don't work either but I have a few motors to try LOL

If your hazards are flashing when you turn the key that usually points to the immobiliser. Yeah oil level should come on with ignition then drop to be oil temp once the car is started. Also you have no engine management light what should be on above the air bag light and your STOP light shouldnt be on either.
