I know I can but its alot easier to do it with the engine out and with me going away now I dont see the point in rushing to put the engine inI can also check the amount of play a lot easier with the engine out its not as if it takes ages to fit the engine so it can wait |

that engine looks stunning. Just out of interest, the left hand breather from the cam cover with the check valve in it, what does it go to? Normally it goes to the inlet iirc. |

Yeah you want to get it into a tank. Mines just on a breather at the moment and if i end up sitting still for any period of time, i get a smell of oil in the car which gives me a right headache |

Hopefully original design rad but 50mm core and 2" narrower each side for the boost pipes to go either side of the rad, a 100mm core intercooler and as big as I can grt to fit if your interested let me know as it will be cheaper the more they make |

Unfortunately Ollie Everything's on hold for me at the moment!Have you thought about having a slightly shorter rad and having the boost pipes going over there's straight into the cooler? ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Yep, I did think about having the boost pipes running under a shorter rad but then the water pipe from the engine would have to be changed, I also thought about the boost pipes going over the top of a shorter rad but the charger inlet would be too low and the heat from the top of the rad would transfer heat into the intercooler pipe work. The best option would be to have a narrower but thicker core rad and the boost pipes to pass round the sides, this way the boost pipes dont have to be as long and the inlet out let of the cooler wont be far from the inlet mani and charger out let |

Probably not but the main issue would be the out let for the charger being lower than the rad.... no point having longer boost pipes when I can just go round the sides |
