Good progress mate Thumbs up

July you say..... In time for pugfest on 13th? Hmm

That wide track is so much more simple that I thought it would be. Don't know why no ones done that before really, Should do the job lovely though save any need for silly wheels and spacers.

I'd polish that car daily in my spunk, do you have somewhere private you can go with it?

Its very unlikely to be finished by then as iv still got to get a custom rad and intercooler made and then the car needs mapping, mot, shake down etc before I can even think about it going on track

The paint needs a final going over too

Still a long way off Thumbs down

So they just use a wedged spacer?

Iv got some cheap tyres that came off the split rims just while I sort the suspension out but then I'm going to try nankang ns2r and see what they are like, going to get some Dunlop slicks for the other set.

Wedged spacer? If you are referring to the rear wide track they have spaced the hub out using a 40mm spacer as well as a longer stub axle.
they looked wedge shape in the pic but they are parallel

I'm still going to be using these 20mm bolt on spacers all round so that I have a wider range of wheel offset to choose from in the future

I trial fitted one of the wheels with a standard hub as I haven't built up the negative camber ones yet..

This is my problem

With the spring wound fully down (I will still have a 3" arch gap) the wheel has 4mm (if that) until it hits the spring seat/adjuster Sad so once a tyre is fitted it's deffo going to hit the spring

I'm not sure how much the top of the wheel goes in with -2 degrees of camber

The way I see it iv got 3 options

1 fit the negative camber hubs and space the wheel out another 5mm but I think the wheel will be proud of the arch

2 fit shorter springs, maybe 6 or 7" and hope that the wheel and tyre will clear

3 sell the neg camber hubs and try and find some top mounts that fit, iv tried compbrake and D2 but due to the top mount sitting more outboard the profile of the top mounts and chassis don't match and have big gaps under them

My main issue is that if I fit my new bearings to the neg camber hubs and I still can't find a way to clear the strut I'm worried that I might damage the bearings trying to remove them before selling the hubs

Oh the joys of modifying ey lol

At least the wheels look good lol
