Went to yet another Lydden hill Track day on Saturday. Absolutly loved it. Just recently fitted a decat, the £30 pipercross high lift inlet cam and Mintex discs all round with Mintex normal pads for the rear and Mintex extreme Pads for the front and some (maybe chav'y) bonnet raiser's (They really helped with the temps). Plus cambelt kit, water pump and oil change (But thats the boring stuff)
Here's a few pics anyway... (I was the photographer in these 4 photo's)

Was an awesome day and the car was brilliant as always. Managed to chip and crack the screen because of this prat..

He kept going in the gravel round a long bend for no reason and flicked loads of big stones up while I was trying to get past. As you can see in this pic..

Also got closed in by the bloke in the mg so slammed my breaks on and span out as you can see in these pics...

Also got nudged believe it or not on a 'track day' by this w@ker in the saxo...

but the marshels were bang on it and black flagged him and told him to f**k off, which he did leave rather quickly. But a few sessions before the nudge, a marshal came up to me and said "That bloke in the saxo isn't very happy with you, he's been trying his hardest to get near you but just can't do it" Ha Ha! Not bad considering it only cost me £150 and i've only spent about 4 - 500 quid on it. And the nudge was after catching him up and overtaking him.
Seriously need to sort the suspension out now though, its got spax kryptons but standard arb's and tb's and it was understeering like mad on the first session with new prada 2's. Luckily my mums boyfriend bought some slicks for it without me knowing so as soon as they were on it was brilliant! It dominated most cars of a simular type that day!

Also done this to 2 tyres on the same side on the front...

I did have my new gopro as an early birthday present but only managed to record my session with the prada's which was rubbish so not worth posting.

I know, I think a combination of too much body roll and I think the tyres were a bit on the narrow side (Think they were 175's) was the problem there (and needing negative camber)... but I didnt buy them so cant complain...

They were £30 each part warns so not bad and it did go out on quite a few runs. Cost £100 in fuel though. The track isn't the best tarmac in the world either, very rough. Its always the front corner as well.

Thanks alot, was a good day and I wouldn't of minded if the bloke who scrapped the rear bumper and wheel come up n apoligised but he just 'literally' ran off with his tail between his legs.

I probably just upset them both as they were both 'race cars' and probably spent alot of money on them (fiesta was RWD) but they couldn't keep up with the slightly tuned cheap track car, so they thought they'd try and take me out, lol. Gti6 ftw

Yea, Lydden's a tyre wrecker, that's why I don't plan to run the track car there!

I know the guy in the black Fiesta (J20 AEF).

You can tell from the photo of the saxo he's driving like a complete penarse, so wasn't the slightest bit surprised he'd hit you when i saw it. Some people manage to drive with complete blinkers on on a trackday, like they're the fastest thing on the whole circuit, so why would they need to move over? Retards.

Lovely cheap cars that you can have plenty of fun with. You had a good day that's the main thing!!

Yeah he was a w@nker, when the marshal came up to me to tell me he was upset because he can't get near me, I told the marshal then that he was driving a bit aggressively. And after he'd hit me the marshal said he'd had 3 complaints about him, and they'd had a word with him all ready. Should of been kicked off a while before that happened really.
But it was one of the best days I've had down there, car didn't miss a beat, my mums boyfriend had a few goes, my nephew had a few goes and a mate who turned up late got to have a go too, so the car didn't really have a lot of rest.

I highly recommend Brands if you can get to it, did an evening session in the track car and is an awesome circuit!

Stuart's an ex-colleague of mine from MSV Smile

Well as ex-MSV I've got to suggest Snet / Bedford! Bedford has a crazy amount of run-off so no chance of causing any damage.

that's why you don't use parada's as track tyres, they just are too soft and fold under!

I will have a look at them 2 then cheers, see if Stuart can get me a discount! Haha

I was recommended Prada 2's as good track tyres! Obviously mis-informed, although I did very much like them on the rear with the slicks on the front more than all 4 slicks!

Parada 2's are worse on a dry track than slicks, who woulda thunk it?! Laugh my ass off
