Hi Guys

How much difference will i see from my standard brakes wih braided brake lines, to 406 Brembos on the front.

Basically want to know if its worth the money for the brakes and getting bigger wheels, cars road/track.

Thanks

Mark

Do a search been covered a million times...
If your not running boost I wouldn't bother just invest in decent pads and disks in the standard calipers with braided lines. Not worth paying the extra for brembo's to put up with the noise they make.

If you are going to go the whole hog & get 330mm rotors swell I'd thoroughly recommend the conversion. It ain't cheap mind!
Otherwise stick with STD calipers & discs but go for uprated pads, something like Ferodo DS2500'sNinja

Cool

Yup just depends on your budget but if your running under 200bhp there's no point in paying out for brembo's IMO.
Have just fitted 406 ones on my SC6 as standard was scary when doing silly speeds. Not that I should be going them Ninja will upgrade to 310 or 330 when I have money to spare ( probs never lol)

Unless you have money to burn and are running serious horsepower, as said above get some uprated pads and braided hoses the difference is very noticeable and more than enoughfor road/ occasional track use. Thumbs up

Personally, I would say if you're running some serious power then go for the upgrade. However, if you do go for the full 330mm kit - can't fault it for performance and there is no squeel too. Cool

Standard brakes are ok for track, just make sure you have a decent pad installed. Preferably something like Ferodo DS2500's. Thumbs up

i did a track day at knockhill today, standard brakes are ok unless your being harsh with them.

imo, decent set of pads and discs will suffice. I too have have brembos that are currently fitted

to my mates car - 283 plain discs & genuine peugeot pads, they work very well, no noise until

they seen about 500 miles, now the odd squeal every now and then but only on light

braking

My brembo's were so noisy at what ever speed, I soon took them off and back to standard. Wouldnt bother imo unless the 330 kit

Mintex 1155's are a very good pad for the money IMO. But then I do have a few hundred kilo's less to slow down.

I had the mintex when I got the car. They work well but munched the brembo discs in no time.
