not over tensioned as I did it!......
when looking at it it did look like a stone or something had been rubbing on the back of it, though nothing was found inside the covers, all the pulleys etc were all still good so think it was just unlucky.
but the are prone to breaking early when compared to a 2.0 16v xsi! They will make the original Peugeot 60k service interval easily! Peugeot themselves got caught out with the GTi6 at first as they first said it woul do 60k but after many broke early they had to revise this, I know of a few people taking Peugeot to court and winning after having theirs break!
4 years or 40k is what they say but 3 years or 30k is best to be safe, but its up to the owner. Id rather change it early than have it break
and as for prices then people on here are being stupid and shooting themselves in the foot, surely we should all be saying yes they are worth more rather than bring the prices done to nothing!
Its in our best interests to keep prices high!
but £2000 doesnt buy the one featured for sure! its worth far more
