on top of good exhaust system, im thinking piper 285 cams with remap...lets assume we dont have a skimmed
head so valve to piston should be ok, iirc a certain company in Hampshire got 190 brake with lesser spec cams

Aftermarket pistons and better cams, mappable/mapped ecu, exhaust is fine.or go bodies and milder cams, similar result and cash outlay, even better soundtrack. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Hampshire based firm not being entirely honest then... |

Yup.Tbs 600, ecu 500, mapping 330, cams 400, inlet depends on what you choose, from 200. A bit short of your guesstimate lol ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Rich_W made 207bhp on an otherwise standard engine running PT81 cams and a remap. ![]() ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

It can be done on standard manifolds but just like everyone is about Pug1off's claims I would be very, very surprised if it is possible to add another ~25% power to one of these engines with simply cams and a remap especially considering the cams that will fit in a standard engine are still pretty mild.If you get your pistons pocketed, a bit wilder cam than Pt81 and a good map I don't see why it can't be done but no disrespect to Rich W, Stan or whoever believes 207 Bhp is achievable with the mod's mentioned I don't agree. A couple of others on here have got ~190bhp which I would say is more realistic. I know of a few people that have gone quite a bit further than simply fit Pt81's and Map and still only get around 200. Make sure you keep us posted with what you do decide and what you achieve from it, it would be good to see. ________________________________________ Ryan |

You can get 190hp with cams and map + Decat all day long as long as you sort the pistons. Its not like someone hasnt done that already. That car that has past hands more than a amsterstam prossy has 190hp. I dont see how you could get 200hp with a little more work. Maybe go into the same detail as Russian guy did and enlarge the TB and then polish the inside of the inlet. With regards to the pug 1 off claims. The car i think you are all talking about is the 205 in evo? Well that has 195hp for a start from the following "However, for an extra £1595 you can have the same motor uprated to full ‘195’ spec with high-lift, long-duration camshafts, a tubular exhaust manifold, a modified inlet housing and an ECU remap with a 7800rpm rev limit. That little lot delivers 195bhp" Frankly I dont see why not. The rev limit is raised. Theres new cams A new exhaust manifold and a map. Seems perfectly realistic to me, ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

I don't see why they needed to raise the limit, they make peak well before the standard one.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssaRxKV6jXk Looks like they managed it with some Catcams 4903110's. Don't know what pistons were used though. I happen to have a set which i could let go for the right money. ![]() ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

welshpug! wrote: I don't see why they needed to raise the limit, they make peak well before the standard one. Would it be that they have retarded the cams to avoid clearance issues thus pushing peak power higher up and the need to rev more? I know it will still tail off before 7.8k but from seeing their graphs but they do seem to have fairly good high rev figures. I don't know what the clearance is like on their choice of cams and wether that would have any bearing on it tbh but that's the only feasible reason I can think of. ________________________________________ Ryan |

Don't let the figures take over. What one person had on one set of rollers could be more than a 'higher spec' car on another. ________________________________________ ![]() |

This old one again, Claims are just claims and RR figures are just that, One will read different to another and on different daysI don't like fitting base spec cams as for the money you can get much better, Abit with bottom end work ________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

The only reason you would bother spending that sort of money on N/A would be if you were limited to a series whereby you couldn't go forced induction. ![]() ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
